Yum Yum that sounds great!! Cheeky used to love oranges too! I don't think you can give them too much though because it can cause a yeast infection. Your wee birds are spoiled rotten! :hap:

hi classy lady. I really don't want to frighten you but it really sounds like the problem I had with Cheeky. His droppings went really wet and he had a clicking noise although he had it when he was breathing. Unfortunately he also had a lump in his tummy which turned out to by lymphoma. Might be worthwhile getting a blood test done asap. Fingers crossed its not that please let us know how you get on. I'll be thinking about you both! :hugs: ali

hi everybody, just to let you know that we put Cheeky to sleep this morning. He made it through the night but he was so exhausted he could hardly move - we thought it was the right decision for him. It was very peaceful and he went quickly. I'm going to put a post in the memorial section with some cute pics of him. Thanks again.

Hi guys ive just brought Cheeky back home. its not good news - he's got a lymphoma in his tummy. We don't know if he's going to make it through the night but they said he could last for a week. We are going to keep an eye on him and if he is in any pain then we are going to have to put him to sleep. Just wanted to thank all you guys for your nice wishes. ali

hiya, just off the phone to the vet. He's doing quite well although he was a wee bit sick today but he's playing at the bottom of his cage just now :bluebudgie: Hopefully the vet is going in to see him tomorrow but if not then he'll be assessed again on wed. really annoyed that its taken so long for the vet to see him again. miss him loads.

hiya, just a quick update. the people at the vets are really pleased with him. he has started running about the bottom of the cage and eating some food which is good. he is being tube fed just now does anybody know what that means?? they did a crop test and a poop smear and couldn't find any bacteria but they are continuing with the antibiotics for the skin irritation round his bottom. The vet is going to reassess him on monday so ill let you all know how he gets on. thanks very much for all the well wishes. you guys are great :ausb:

hey, he's doing okay I think. They have started him on antibiotics and he's made it through the night which is good. Will give them a call this afternoon and get an update. Still waiting for his test results to come back but they are keeping him in until monday. I just hope he doesn't die in the vets thinking i've abandoned him. Its just horrible!
