thanks guys, we let him out first thing in the morning and he goes to bed when we do so he gets plenty of flying time, although he mainly runs! Will try and encourage him to fly more. Good idea bout the oats-vet thinks he is picking and choosing the fattening seeds so we r trying to change him onto pellets which is a nightmare-however after reading the,pinned post I'm not so sure this us a good idea. Still battling to get him to eat any fruit and veg but he just refuses. Have tried everything I think! Tried it all when hr was a baby too! He's v fussy!

Hiya, took my wee Oscar to the vet last month as he was starting to run funny and kept crash landing. Was absolutely devastated to find out he was obese! He weighed 64g and should be around 40. Couldn't believe what I had done to my little guy, but I stupidly thought he would only eat what he needed. felt so guilty. So, he has been in a diet and exercise and got weighed again yesterday-now 58g so he's list 10% of his body weight which is great! Still a long way to go but it will b with it! He's a much happier boy now! Any hints and tips on trying to get him healthier would b greatly appreciated!

Than guys! Oscar is nearly 5 now. The bottom picture is an old one-he was just a baby on it. As for being warm in Scotland it'd getting there-8 degrees! Bring on the summer! LOL

hi guys just back from the vets. My poor little sausage has a bacterial infection in his crop. We have got baytril & probiotics to give him so fingers crossed he will be better soon. Thanks for the support

My poor little Oscar is sick! We got him out his cage this morning and he was all puffed up - he didn't even want to play with any of his toys, just wanted to sleep on my finger. He usually is so full of energy in the morning, he hasn't tweeted once today. I'm so worried about him - i'm terrified he's got the same thing that Cheeky had. I've got an appointment at the vet at 5.30 so fingers crossed. Please say a wee prayer for him. Ali
