Thanks guys. Oscar also loves shiney things but his new obsession is a yellow plastic tube with lots of wee balls inside it! It sat on the,living room floor for a year before he even went near it! LOL oh and yes he has started feeding it so I guess I'm going to need to take it away for a bit.

Hiya my lovely little Oscar has turned into a holy terror recently! He used to come and sit on my shoulder, have a wee chat buy now he has become obsessed with his toys. The only way I can get any attention from him is to bribe him with his toys! Should I take some of his toys away? Know its a bit selfish but I miss my little guy. What's your thoughts? Thanks

Hi guys here are some updated pictures of my holy terror!Don't know if it's the time of year, or the fact that he is feeling fitter but he has been totally hyperactive!!! Won't go to bed at night and he is a nightmare to get back in his cage! lol

Oscar went through a spell like that when he was about 2! It was a total pain but he eventually grew out of it, took a while though.

Oh my god how could anybody leave a budgie in that state! And its reasonably easy to treat too! Poor wee souls!

Ha ha yeah kaz I know but I was bored so I thought I'd just start a wee conversation! Lol as for budgies being popular in Scotland, there are a lot of people who breed and show I think, but not nearly as popular as in Australia!

Well after 5 yrs of tryin to get ozzie to eat any fruit and veg, he finally did it tonight! Potato, carrot and turnip! But the wee bum would only eat it off my dads dinner plate! Lol

Thanks for all your advice guys ill let you know how he gets on at his next weigh in in a couple of months. The vet showed me how to check if they are too fat-have a feel of the tummy and you should be able to feel the bone running down the middle. If you can't they are too fat. Wet down the feathers on the tummy, the skin should be pink but if they are too fat it looks yellow.
