  1. You have a beautiful flock thank you so much for sharing :rip:
  2. I absolutely love that first picture and the carrot face is so cute you should consider entering some of your pictures for Budge of the Month :rip:.
  3. I was thinking what you were thinking here that the feathers are still coming in and she is very young. I would keep an eye and make sure she is eating okay on her own. To check that you can blow on the seed dish lightly and see if any empty shells come flying off. Congrats on your baby. We have a wonderful FAQ section on taming and more so please check it out .
  4. I am very sadden to hear the news :rip: Tigger and hugs to you.
  5. they are both beautiful and I love their coloring
  6. Shawan it is wonderful to hear from you and the update. We miss you very much on the boards. I have thought of you often and Lucas too wondering how things were going. Give Lucas a hug from us here in the US and know that we will continue to root for him. BIG virtual mommy hug to you as I know there are days you are the one that needs the hugging as well. Keep in touch...:rip:
  7. wow you are brave to take them to the park with no leashes (I read what you said above) but still brave I wouldn't be that brave :rip:, they are beautiful and I am glad they had a good time. I know I am a downer but one thing about the park is make sure they don't spray their grass with anything for insecticides or pesticides because that can be harmful as you know. Again they are gorgeous.
  8. Yes violets are so hard to capture. Merlin in my signature is a violet. The flash either brightens the color or washes it out. Natural light with no flash is the best way to capture his coloring I found out. Too bad I don't live closer (Laughing out loud) I would glady love to adopt.
  9. you know what will be neat is if you get any yellowface (I always love to see if one of the parents are carrying the double factor yellow face gene).
  10. excellent news and as maise said keep it interesting

Could you post a picture of your cage set-up? If he is getting a bald spot then he is being plucked by someone. It also sound like they are going through a hormonal stage if you said he was liking his ladder a little too much. How many hours do you keep them covered? It is recommended at least 10-12 hours of darkness and sometimes you have to increase cage coverage if they get hormonal and you will find that happens more in the spring and summer hours. Also how many seed bowls and water bowls to you have available? Are your birds going through a molt at all? They needed to get a bit persnickity during this time too. When you did introductions with your bird did you do a quarantine program?
  12. she is beautiful Norm
  13. They all look lovely, healthy and such a rainbow of colors. Thank you for sharing.
  14. The blue and the yellow is one of the most beautiful combinations I have seen. The blue looks to be a violet. I love your pied I don't think at least for a while I have seen an opaline pied so defined. Very nice and congrats.
  15. I agree from the front it looks bigger but the side view really puts it size and it really doesn't even look big enough for 1 budgie so I would go with Kaz's suggestion. We also have member set-ups in our FAQ section under Cages I believe where you can see different ideas.
  16. you can resize them right in photobucket and put the picture up here that is what we do or you can post the link but most of us take the time to resize and then put the picture it is less time consuming then clicking on individual links. .
  17. FGM you can ask Nerwen too she has experience in them. Give her a quick PM with this post.

they sure do look hot here they would freeze though just about 30F and it is going to get even colder this weekend.
  19. Wonderful to hear .
  20. Welcome Aboard. Though I live in the U.S. I once lived in Greece not too far from Italy so please please feel welcomed.
  21. Norm I was thinking that too but don't know much about that mutation. Here is the link to Daz's post about his. It could be very possible http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....c=15339&hl=
  22. I am thinking what Libby said (I believe) that maybe it is some type of pied fluke and he could be a dominant pied but not showing the spot on the back of his head. The genetics outcome50% spangle50% normals50% dominant pieds (if that is what it is) All of the above can be in a combo of course 100% blues male chicks will be split for opaline lutino females because Poppy is split to lutino since his mom was a lutino
  23. Welcome to our forums. I am very sorry to hear about the experiences you have been through with this pet shop. You may want to report them if there is someone you can report them too along with what has happened to you. They may do an investigation and get the pet shop to do their part. It does sound like it is spreading to all their birds and they yet haven't realized it.
  24. Yes keep us informed , we would love to hear his progresses. I do feel with more mental stimuation you may find him to settle down.Thank you for your kind words about Pretty.

You can also call the local pet store whom sells birds they may clip too for a last resort, where did you buy him? Will they clip him for you. You will find this is going to be the best thing to get him tamed down at this point.
