Cooking Advice...
well you can boil with and without skins, boiling will make the skins possibly come off, depends how soft you want them if you want them to stay together and not mush like for mashed potatos I suggest 10 mins.

Advice Needed
that is good to know you know though he should have a print out of the blood work I bet you can ask for that and it would show her kidney function just having that information is good so you know the normal range, annoyed or not lol you are paying for it even if he stopped charging at the end...don't mean to offend, I am a why person and black and white and it is easier for me to understand if I can see the results in hand vs just taking it by word.

hmm, it would be interesting to know that information for your own knowledge of what you are paying for and it would help other forum members including me for our birds. The only way I know that you can confirm kidney disease is to take a blood test.

Pairing In The Breeding Cabinet

Pairing Question
Lacewing is a composite variety of lutino/albino and cinnamon. The budgie is mostly yellow (in yellow-based budgies) or mostly white (in white-based budgies). A suffusion of the body color is slightly visible in the body feathers. The markings of the head, wings, and tail show up as a light cinnamon color and the cheek patches are pale violet. The eyes are red/pink, and the cere of the male lacewing does not change normally. Adult male lacewings have purple ceres. To ensure 100% lacewings you would breed him to another lacewing. Both the ino & cinnamon gene are genetic. Here are some links to read up on Lacewings http://rares.bestofbreeds.net/lacewings1.htm This link is good here is where the expections are http://www.budgerigarassociation.com/baa_015.htm Just adding is he is a lacewing or an INO split to lacewing because he looks like he has brown throat spots indicating lacewing not split?

Normal Budgie? I Don't Think So
Have you tried to put a sheet around 3 sides of her cage does this calm her down? If so I would do that for a week keep it covered to make her feel safe.

Can Anyone Help With Educational/interest Books
The Hooked on Phonics and Math is very simple MB and it helped me out LOL. In the beginning it works on ABC, which you probably won't need that tape but recognizing them, then the next tapes is knowing the sound that each letter makes which is very important in sounding out (which is where I struggled when I was little), then it works on sight words and more....It goes up to about grade 3-4. It coms with tapes, workbooks and books to read they are called the HOP books, I love this series more then anything I have seen for my kids and there is SO much out there.

Introducing New Bird
Summer please separate them a lot of member may not know the history of your new bird. You just got this new bird from the SAME place that you returned your very SICK bird that you just bought. As I said in my other post if that bird was sick it could be very likely the new one is too because they came from the same store. Pretty didn't look sick in the morning and by evening he was died in my hands. You can NOT tell by visual eye if a bird is sick many times. You need to have the separated in different rooms out of ear reach's if the noise from your other bird causes your existing one to go crazy.

Should A Pellet Diet Be Pelted At My Parakeet?
There are many good replies Let me tel you my experience. After Pretty died they said that Merlin should be on an all pellet diet. I did my research read the pros and cons and asked questions here too. I decided that a little bit of everything is what they really need. In all reality that is what budgies do in the wild they forge and eat a little bit of everything and that is why it is hard to duplicate their diet from the wild as they are nomadic they come across a lot of different foods. You can make the best decision just by following what you think is right. My grandma's budgie lived to be 18y on a total seed diet imagine that. I believe that GOOD genetic and well bred birds is also a factor in being healthy and longevity along with a good diet. Pretty ate all his good stuff and only lived to be 1 and 1/2y.

Can Anyone Help With Educational/interest Books
I love Hooked on Phonics that is what I used. Now new is is expensive but I know you can get it at the library OR you can get it on e-bay that is how I got my Hooked on Math I love both editions!!

Can Anyone Help With Educational/interest Books
Excellent MB you know it is always good to brainstorm with other moms. There are many homeschooled kids around here and Aaron has a couple as friends and they are VERY social, it really depends on what the parents too with them. When Aaron was little I bascially homeschooled him and took him everywhere from the library, to the mall just to walk and look in the windows, to library classes and fun mom and me classes this has turned him into a well liked, charismatic boy that everyone likes . Much of the stuff I did was free.

Bird Cage For Multiple Budgies
I was worried at first too it was my first purchase on e-bay but I had seen other people on here buy it off of e-bay with no issues and I also read about the buyer, a cage like I have would have been over 150 US in the store so I took the risk. I actually had 2 in there but Pretty passed away so only Merlin is in there and it is huge for him but it makes me feel good that if I can't get him out for flight time he has all the room he needs in there

Coco's Poops
I agree there with Liv, I found that with Pretty once he started eating the veggies there is more moister intake and the green can be from the leafy veggies he is eating, it is the very bright green or if the poos are sloppy wet that is a worry.

Hello Again
Liv, I agree with you on this but I was just giving her what options she had, I don't believe pet shops do good for any budgie healthy or sick and in all realthy (this is not to make you feel bad) I probably would have just asked for a refund and not exchanged. If one is sick they have all probably been together he may be sick too but maybe not. I would not give my business to an establishment like this. This is only my opinion though.
