  2. I know this is not stuff from the vet but I figured I would add from our FAQ section the article written up what to have in a Budgie First Aide Kit. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...&artlang=en
  3. how cute, didn't you say it had pink eyes or red I don't see it in the picture and we agreed if it did it was a cinnamon most likely because the dad is split for cinnamon making it a hen .
  4. they are gorgeous, the white one in the middle is he being plucked by a parent? He has a bald spot on the back of his head.
  5. Though per Neville, large or small it is split to recessive a large spot doesn't denote a dominant pied if it looks like a normal. Any thoughts....
  6. That was my next thing, it probably is a cinnamon baby then and the eyes will turn darker in a week I believe, and it would still be a hen.
  7. Resurfacing this for Neville and I lol... So the SPOT on Merlin's head doesn't denote dominant pied at all am I correct on this?
  8. they look great jodie
  9. black beaks is very common in young chicks nothing to worry about red eyes can indicate an ino/lutino which if it is then the dad is split for lutino and therefore this baby would be a hen, because it is a sex-linked gene.
  10. OH Jenene, I hope all is okay you will be in my prayers, hugs.
  11. that is okay that is why everyone is here, first time clutch I am sure is nervewracking.

Welcome I am glad you got on the forum to post this too :rip:. He is a cutie. Kaz is right but a budgie with french molt can live a very wonderful life given the opporunity.
  21. They are sweet....tired days once again but it is worth it.
  22. I agree with Neville, I had a recessive pied male too you can see him in my signature. In our FAQ section under Cages you will find good articles on different cages that are ideal for your budgie. Liv is right round cages are not good they are a hazard to a bird emotionally and physically. You can get a decent cage for a good cost when you look around you don't have to pay the high prices at the store. Welcome to the forum and we look forward to getting to know you and Coco better :rip:.
  23. Good luck Sunnie, they are stunning. The spangle markings on the last one is very defined :rip:. I have no doubt you will do wonderfully.
