  3. Oh...good luck they are going to produce some beautiful chicks.
  4. I love them all but I can't wait to see this fully feathered and the pictures are wonderful, awesome camera.
  5. We have a trampoline that we only paid 199.00 for why so expensive - we bought ours on a sale at Wal-Mart? We have a round one with the netting around it. My husband hates the trampline because we had a party and one 2 girls were on it and they bounced off each other and the one broke her finger. I like it because the kids love to jump on it. In the beginning it is novelity but now since we have had it for 4 years they don't jump on it but once a month maybe? Our we have steps to get up on the trampoline and we have the kids always take off their shoes before they get on and the flooring is always dry within an hour after it rains. The only probably we have is leaves which we can push out with a broom and push through the netting and the floor. The one thing make sure the kids DON'T hang on the netting like ours did it has broken some of the screws on the bottom that hold up the netting that goes around where the poles hold up the netting. Also have to make sure you don't have adventerous ones like I do that like to walk around the edge on the outside of the netting. Key is supervision in the beginning for sure. My son is very crazy on it and he will do flips which I don't promote. He has friends that are not allowed on it and when they come over then noone goes on it. There has to be rules.
  6. Yes, and Merlin love when my son plays his faster songs on the violin vs the slower ones :party0011:, he gets nuts and the kids love it.

Welcome, your birds were very lucky many dogs are not as soft mouthed, a learning experience too that budgies need to be keep safe in the presence of dogs. :party0011:
  8. Go to this post I am going to add to the FAQ's but this is a good idea of how full it should look and when you should stop http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....c=22795&hl=
  9. Very good points, and others on this forum learn too as you share it with everyone too.
  10. Good luck on getting rid mice. As for your question, I would say yes not to eat it but to investigate it as Renee said.
  11. I would keep an eye on the poos, I see Chrysocome is reading too she may have more advice. It may be moult related it may not if it doesn't clear up in 3 days I would take a trip ot the avian vet that would be me personally OR if his personality becomes listless or sick like. You are right it is very common for them to be grumpy during a molt. He is a doll, have you submitted his picture for Budgie of the Month yet .
  12. Some good some bad, I am sorry to hear about your losses, thank you for the update MB
  13. I love that place but some of the links when you click on them. The genetics there is very easy to understand. Here is another one that a member of our forum made up too http://www.gypsywillows.com/index.php?opti...r&Itemid=19
  14. ohhh Neville never though of that excellent point
  15. 3 Months Ago When was the last time you went on vacation?
  16. I 'ed Lisa to find out his parents but no response yet she checks her e-mails here and there so I might get something I might not. His sister was a green had had the same spot, I still have a picture of her I think let me check. Just checked, Lisa had suspended her photo account and I never saved to my computer silly me but I remember the youngest being green with the spot but it was a little smaller not as large as Merlin's...I took him because I like blues and loved his spot.
  17. fingers crossed, I hope they are okay
  18. Good Job Smokey!
  19. Merlin's spot is very large so what do you think split or a nice pied spot?
  20. look at that Kaz, you have really come such a long way from the first time I met you that looks wonderful.

    world
  22. JB Stop you are too funny ...the ino gene erases all marking so that is why you may not know if it is a recessive pied but in this clutch it is 100% sure so good breeding records on your part will keep everything straight .
  23. Elly replied to renee's topic in Breeding Journals
Fingers crossed maybe Pair 1 eggs will surprise you, Violet Spangles what a gorgeous combo I can't wait to see the chicks.
  24. Just a note, I leave Merlin's bells as long as he is not obessed they don't spend all day on the play gym and they love to ding them so personally if you don't have issues leave them , but I agree not to keep them in their cage as that is where they are in the majority of the time and then it can become an issue. Moderation is okay, even a mirror you might have is fun once or twice a week as long as you don't see frustrating or obessive behavior.
