Breeding For A White Budgie...
To get another DEC you need to have a bird that is at least split for recessive pied -- otherwise it's not possible. A recessive pied would work, a DEC (a DEC is recessive pied) would work.. any bird split for recessive pied may work. If it was me.. I'd go with a recessive pied split, even though it may not produce the highest number of Dark eyed clears.

Gender
I'd say male because it looks like it has already molted.. I would expect a whiter cere for a female -- but based on the picture, I don't know.

Breeding For A White Budgie...
If you pair him with a recessive pied.. you could possibly get more dark eyed clears ( a better chance than if you were to pair him with one of his offspring) Would two white DEC budgies give birth to ALL white DEC babies? No.. I don't think so.. Dark Eyed Clears are actually a combination of recessive pied and clearflight pied. The babies would all be recessive pied -- but if (both)Clearflight was single factor, then no guarantee that the babies would all inherit the Clearflight gene. DEC (recessive pied sf clearflight) x recessive pied = 50% recessive pied & 50% DEC (recessive pied sf clearflight)

Once upon a time there was a curious young budgie. "What secrets could this small container ..... erm.... contain?" Alas.. she wondered too close to the edge! But alls well that ends well....... Convincing your friends that "you meant to do that" is another story- Some Of My Flock
Wow.. look at Yahzee with the brown cere already. Bubble is a pretty, pretty bird.- Would I Get Lutinos
Lovey is right.. you would get lutino females from the pairing --- it works like that when the father is lutino.- Hi! I'm New Here, I Have 1 Budgie Named T, Is It A Boy Or A Gi
Hi Vanny and welcome -- T is a female -- I'm sure of it.- Rocky To What? And Why?
I can't really tell from the picture.. but there is something else at work with his coloring (I think) -- first I thought recessive pied -- but that's out since he has a blue cere and iris rings -- maybe dF dominant pied. I'd breed him to a normal grey, if I could find one - that would be my preference. You may get opaline grey females or yellowface opaline grey -- and if I'm right about him being pied -- you'd get pieds as well. Is the clearwing chick from another pair? -- a hen split to clearwing could give you full body color greywings (or clearwings if Rocky is a full body color greywing ------ or clearwings if he is a greywing split to dilute)- My Flock - So Pretty!
They are pretty. Jewel looks so grown up now.. love Sylvester- My Budgies
They have a nice cage -- the bottom half looks so empty though. the 3rd budgie down looks just like my bird Bunny.- New Pics Of The Budgies....
They're really pretty. I like Ginkgo.- Best Of Friends

He never had stripes all the way down to his cere -- neither did bunny or Khepri -- must be to do with their color. I'm interested to see how his spots turn out.. he has more than my other budgies.- Baby Bred By Champions
Looks so rough at the moment.. but you can tell he will be just fine looking. I think male.. but not 100% sure. I like the name Hudson for him .. or Xavier meaning "a new house"- Gents
Nice Bunny Did I mention that Khepri is strange? Well.. he is....... Even Blue thinks so! (this was funny -- one second Blue and Khepri were on my hand and this was the next picture -- where'd they go?)- My Baby's Growing Up
Dallas is molting! Make him stop!!!- Ladies
Is she sneaking up on me? I think she is! What did I do?!?- Choices
Maybe Kree could still be split to blue if one of his parents was split to blue. If you get any more birds -- maybe you could find a clearbody female for Squeaker . That way you'd have a chance for male clearbodies. Or an -ino? -- I'm sure you know how that works. I'd like to see Squeaker paired to a normal green -- a "green" opaline clearbody would be pretty too. Another male or two --- an unrelated clearwing and a dilute --- one for Thistle and one for Ringo --- their babies would have pretty babies- The Big Wide World...
