  1. He's adorable. Dexter
  2. Congratulations on the babies. I hope that everything goes well
  3. I thought the mask was (in his case) the white part of the face -- and the spots were called the necklace.. I could be wrong.
  4. She's pretty -- I wonder what happens when a grey bird has a violet factor -- I would imagine a color close to mauve.

You and I have very simular tastes in budgies. They're all stunning. Albert is "dreamy"
  6. Did you know that the parents were split for fallow or was the baby a total surprise? I would love one just like him. Bart is the same color as Bunny so that's intersting that you got cobalt/violets. They are beautiful babies.
  7. They look like they had a great time - pretty birds
  8. Definately cute!
  9. I love it! I thought you had a new 'teil when I saw the first picture.
  10. They're pretty . I love the cinnamon.
  11. I'm sure you'll work it out in terms of the forum. I have no problem referring to budgies as pet and show, since there are people with strong feelings in that direction. However, when someone uses the terms American budgies or English budgies -- maybe instead of saying " '........' is correct and '.........' is wrong/incorrect" " '>>>>' these are the terms or terminology that we prefer." & if you choose to include some explanation as to why it would probably be well received overall. Here we have Parakeet food, Parakeet cages, Parakeet toys -- it will say "Parakeet" on the packaging of most (if not all) of these products offered for sale.
  12. He is so cute -- I love baby budgies. I think he's a dominant banded pied, not clearflight.
  13. They are cute. I love the different shades of blue on the 2 opalines.
  14. What an excitement filled birthday! Happy Birthday Oz.
  15. They look fantastic. I love Merlin's expression in the second picture.
  16. They're all adorable. They look so intent on what they're doing.
  17. I call them parakeets, except for online -- say budgie or budgerigar and not too many people would know what you're talking about. I don't really understand why it's like that -- since budgies are only one type of parakeet. I've never seen them in pet shops as American budgies -- just parakeets. I think that the show type are the only ones I've seen referred to as budgies.
  18. Baby #2 looks like she or he is going to be a beauty. The others look great too.
  19. He's a pretty one. Yellowface dilute (or greywing). Since you said his feet are greyish, I think that means his base color is grey. I'm not sure.
  20. I don't know either. Maybe you mean lacewing -- laser = lace? they are white
  21. Girl :budgiedance:
  22. They are absolutely stunning. Are you going to keep the other 2 babies ? - you said that one will go to your brother :budgiedance:
  23. Good luck to the babies! Are you going to add shavings to the box as they start to grow?
  24. Are his eyes red? They don't look red to me. I feel Bubbles gave you good advice about quarantining and not placing a new bird right into a breeding situation.
  25. You may get some pieds like dad -- they could be different shades of blue depending on dark factors and if dad is a violet pied. You may also get normals as in not pied in different shades of blue. When you use an albino -- you can get some surprises -- and there are other genes that you may not be aware of that may come out in the babies. Even though you may have an idea of what to expect.. there are lots of possibilities -- you wouldn't get any greens though. Male babies will be split for (carrying the gene for) -ino.
