Well, i followed the link and let me say u (you) have some very nice budgies.

I do not your hean is a grey-green, instead i think she is an opaline Texas Clear Body. Norm could telly you better, but that is my opinion.

Love the 3 young from pair 5. All are going to look like Dad. Very cute.

Who are the parents of the Yellow faced Violet and the greens? Not pair 5 obviously.

i find this hard to fathom. you cannot get green birds from blue budgies.

A double factor yellow face looks white faced in a blue bird if i am right. But since the parents pass on one gene, that would mean that all the babies would have yellow faces, and those that look like dad obviously do not.

help any genticists?

With blue it is simple a blue bird is the absent of the yellow gene because blue + yellow = green

the yellow face gene is more complicated with many double factor genes it seems to really change the mutation or leave it absent in color example a double factor spangle no longer as the spangle markings, a double factor dominant pied as very little pied markings, for me I don't get into too much depth of trying to understand the reason behind natures work but I accept that it happens and then I can help with the outcomes :P.
