  1. The downtime was caused by an outage at the Data Centre that caused all the servers in the Data Centre to become inaccessible outside of the Data Centre.
  2. We are sorry for the recent downtime that caused this site and every other site hosted on my server to be down for around 7 and three quarter hours. We are awaiting an incident report from the Data Centre as to what the cause of the downtime was. We will update this post with that information as soon as it's available.
  3. Today I have upgraded the forum software to the latest version. All apps have been upgraded to their latest versions as well. Please note: From now on you will need to use your EMAIL ADDRESS instead of your Display Name to login to this forum. This was part of the upgraded forum software, and I can't change this back to Display Names. Please make a note of this, or you will no longer be able to login. NEW FEATURE: Achievements - can be earned for a variety of things Any errors or issues with the forum software or apps, then please post here.
  4. I have now fixed & updated the FAQ System to the latest version. Click 'Budgie FAQs' within the 'Browse' menu to view the Budgie FAQs.
  5. We have now enabled SSL on our forum & FAQ systems. Any issues, please message me or post in the Forum Additions, Help, Errors & Support.
  6. Sorry about the recent downtime that started around 11pm (UK time) & ended around 8am (UK time). This was due to an issue at the Data Centre which has now been resolved.
  7. Some people do pop by from time to time, tho the forum isn't as active as it once was. I check this forum on an almost weekly basis, but am unable to give advice about birds due to never having owned any. I'm mainly here as a forum maintainer and support. The Netsta, does check in here from time to time as well.

  11. Hi All. Sorry for the unexpected downtime yesterday, which started at around 8:30am (UK time) and ended around 2:15pm (UK time). It was due to a power issue to the server. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

  13. The forum software has been successfully upgraded to the latest version. I have added the following modifications... (*) Staff Online - shows which staff have been online within last 10 minutes separately from members online list (*) Topic Description - displays the topic's description (if there is one), and allows topic descriptions to be set when posting a new topic (*) Search Engine Logo in Online List - shows the search engine's logo instead of their text name (*) Registration: Timezone - allows new member's to select their timezone during registration Any problems, please either post in 'Forum Additions, Help, Errors & Support' or PM me
  14. Hi Dave, don't know If I can do this here but I can't ssem to answer any post on Forums. This has been happening the last couple of days.I tried help and support and can't get through to them either. I added a post to status update, to show what message I receive, eveything else seem okay except for replying to posts. can you tell where the problem is? many thanks for any help. Robyn...
