The new friend we got for Miley spends a lot of time hanging from the top of the cage. So much so, I have taken to calling him/her Bella. As in Bella Lugosi.

Definitely.... Cosmo does that sometimes too. He did it a lot more at the beginning. I think he was trynig to find a way to escape. But then he grew to love his cage, so you might see less of it after a while (unless Bella finds it extremely fun and likes to do it for entertainment)

Haha! Yeah, Smokey does it too! He hangs upside down and pecks at his dangly toys... It's really funny to turn the pictures upside down... they look just like a budgie standing up!

BAAAHAHAHAHA!!! That is simply gorgeous!! Budgies are such characters!!

 

okay, so right after I wrote that, I looked over at my budgie cage to see Sy hanging upside down from their rope perch...LOL! She didn't stay that way for long though...

If it's a young bird, it might be playing. Make sure you have enough toys in the cage for play time. Its also good to rotate new ones into the cage and take "over used" ones out to keep them from being bored. But that said, hanging upside down is quite normal. Budgies are very inquisitive, thats why we loooooove them! :parrot:

So cute! She does look a little bat like. Dave and Pretty do this some but Dave usually gets really frisky and likes to hang by one let then somersault onto a perch

I recently purchased some show birds. Even the best birds can cause you a headache due to their inability to discern top from bottom

Quarantine is seperate room if in the house or 5 metres away minimum if outside Minimum 30 days.
