Sounds like it was a way of forcing them to be tame. I know people who cart show budgies around with out a hassle, so they have a very poor excuse. I hope he can grow his wings back.

the one you have posted seems to be the same but the wire spacing closer so thats a good plus. You can get color bond aviaries.

this may be a wider cage but it also doesn't allow for perches to be sit up so birds can fly to one end to the other. these cages only appeal to people who have parrots and cockatoos. as them birds aren't even going to attempt to fly inside that cage. Budgies in groups will want to fly from perch to perch back and forth. so best off to get a rectangular design. Well apples has 4 chicks now. she laid 6 eggs all up. one egg was cold, chick 2 died. I am happy to see her with 4 this time. One of Teddies chicks died. She had two. the one that died was a double factor spangle male I am so devastated about this, was looking forward to a double factor spangle male. The other one is going to be a sky blue spangle. June is on 4 eggs. Tilly is on 3 eggs. haven't disturbed my other birds really.
