one and only fledged chick of the teddies. Teddies are sitting on 3 eggs. mean while apples and sandy have 7 chicks between them.
  2. Are these first time breeders? I have had this issue too. I can name 3 factors Concave not deep enough eggs rolling arround. Hen coming out of the nest too frequently cock going in a disturbing the eggs. Thats all I can put it down too.
  3. Creamino Hen To Blue Series Split ino Cock couldn't edit the title what would this produce? Would I get lutino's, albinos? Or just creamino's? This question has me wondering...
  4. Yes I mean the corrugated ridges. It could be as simple as adding a strip of U flashing.

should have said that both birds must carry the ino gene, but if the hen is not displaying Ino it is not carrying the gene as Nadene stated correctly that A hen cannot be split ino could the chick be a Df spangle? I think she meant the hen can't be split ino. but the male can. all ino's produced with this paring will be females only. So outcomes would be Normal Hen(could mean dominant pied, Opaline too or is it [sic]) + Split Ino Cock 25% Male normal 25% Male split for ino 25% Female normal 25% Female ino Would I be correct? just a note: "[sic] means that’s really how it appears in the original.”"

Thats very interesting thanks Paulie and Nadene. Good to know what sex the lutino is. Will have to try find a albino boy. The rest of apples clutch look like normals or Opaline. Sandys nestbox is too early to call. She is yellow face ino. Just realized now I know this. could I pair bart know his split ino up with sandy seems she is creamino would I get Ino's?

Checked apples and barts nestbox There was a surprise there is a luntino chick. apples is a green dominate pied and bart is a grey opaline How would this happen?
  9. I see inside you're aviary where the tin on the roof has holes. are these blocked?
  10. Paulies Clutch Note for administrators: Maybe add a Voting box to the main page. I believe IP board have a few plugins built in like this.

is Chip always sleeping? Hope not that could mean sick chippy. Has chip got red eyes? he could be lutino or if black double factor spangle.
  12. is that yellow one a double factor spangle?
  13. I have only just thought about the thread title here. 2 Hens 1 Box was that kinda a hidden joke or you didn't notice it either. if you do not know what I mean PM me. anyway I am glad they are doing fine.
  14. Sounds like it was a way of forcing them to be tame. I know people who cart show budgies around with out a hassle, so they have a very poor excuse. I hope he can grow his wings back.

Hey XT sounds like you have been sucked in by the budgie bug. Would be good to see pictures, so he is a young budgie?
  16. she is a she and she is mature enough to breed by the looks of that cere.
  17. I am sure they will grow back its like asking how long is a piece of string.
  18. Hey pleased to meet you canneries hey apparently they dirty the water bad lol. Wish you luck with budgie breeding. You got any photos of your setup?
  19. the one you have posted seems to be the same but the wire spacing closer so thats a good plus. You can get color bond aviaries.
  20. I would probably add 4 - 6 but 4 would be a comfortable number. You could get a aviary
  21. lol wasn't sure which one you was going to be reading first.
  22. this may be a wider cage but it also doesn't allow for perches to be sit up so birds can fly to one end to the other. these cages only appeal to people who have parrots and cockatoos. as them birds aren't even going to attempt to fly inside that cage. Budgies in groups will want to fly from perch to perch back and forth. so best off to get a rectangular design. Like this one here if you are looking for this kinda style. http://www.gtmall.com.au/bird-cage/1-8m-roof-design-bird-cage.html You would probably fit 5 - 6 in this cage.

Well apples has 4 chicks now. she laid 6 eggs all up. one egg was cold, chick 2 died. I am happy to see her with 4 this time. One of Teddies chicks died. She had two. the one that died was a double factor spangle male I am so devastated about this, was looking forward to a double factor spangle male. The other one is going to be a sky blue spangle. June is on 4 eggs. Tilly is on 3 eggs. haven't disturbed my other birds really.
