hi i got my bird pebbles about three weeks ago from a breeders aviary i think she is about 1 year old and is having her first moult i picked her because she was getting picked on by other birds and did not have a tail and lots of her wing feathers were ripped off she has now got a short stubby tail and has feathers covering her skin. She does not chirp at me though , she chirps when i am not around but as soon as she sees me she stops chirping. she hops on my finger and is very tame and lets me take her out of her cage but she will not chirp around me is it possibly from past events with other birds ? help is greatly appreciated

They look like females to me but i cant be sure because of the quality of the photos.

My new budgie pebbles does not chirp at me yet but is fine for me to take her out of her cage. my advice is just let frodo settle in a bit longer and he might adjust

Nice budgie i saw one like that when i picked out my new one but i ended up getting one with a yellow face and a whole blue chest love the name "frodo" too

okay so same thing happened with my first two budgies i had , i purchased them on the same day and had them in different cages they were both in the study and they chirped happily with each other i kept them separate for fifty days then put them together i did not tame them but they never bit me after they stayed with each other for half and hour i removed charlie and he started biting me he had never bit me before so i put him back in his cage and put him in a different room to my other budgie. charlie calmed down in a few days time and was happy again i never put them back together because i thought it was too much of a risk but that is your choice dont let me stop you from putting them back together again Charlie died three weeks ago

Hi i put news paper at the the bottom of the tray and leave the grate on my bird pebbles loves walking along the grate its probably not the best method so i advise you to read through some of the other posts i am probably going to start putting layers of nes paper on top of my grate like what one of the other people said

hi i got a new budgie two weeks ago and its female i named it pebbles i have being putting millet spray on my hand but pebbles will not come to my hand i have been keeping my hand in the cage for 20 minutes for the last 7 days or so and she will not come to it does it normally take this long this is my 4th budgie and its the first time i have decided to tame one and train it . i let pebbles out the cage daily and she does not bite me at all. please help! help will be greatly appreciated
