Help Sexing Please!
Your yellow pied reminds me very much of my supermom Lucy I would say female and male but I've no expertise here... In any case, I was getting very anxious looking at your grey in front of the gap in that unlatched roof! :yuck:

Mental Screeching Budgie ...help
I can sympathize as I had a screecher years ago... but not this bad!!! I'm not a budgie expert on here however the word "mirror" jumped out at me. I'd suggest getting rid of any mirror toys as a start. My birds love a classical playlist on the old iPod. It goes for hours, and when I start the playlist they go into a kind of quiet busyness, eating and exploring their toys, then they settle down peacefully. They've been listening to this exact playlist since they were inside their eggs though, as I played it for the mom when she was sitting on the eggs. I'm sure others on this site will have advice for you, good luck!

Well And Truly Plucked
Yeah Poor little blighters..................could have been worse I guess...they could be dead. Happy to report they are fed in their new foster nests and the angry red skin is settling a little. Is there anything you can put on the raw skin to help soothe and help recover? Most things have a smell to them and make the bedding and seeds stick to them. Yikes! Have you heard about Arnica gel? It's very soothing for humans, is nearly odorless, and disappears quickly without stickiness. A little on a q-tip? Or aloe gel...

Will There Be Peace?
This is about Nibbler and Xena, the oldest and the youngest from a clutch of five. Nibbler (green) is now 10 weeks old, Xena is a little over 9 weeks old. They are the only hens from the clutch. They have kind of buddied up ever since dad went back to mom a month ago — Nibbler still "feeds" Xena every once in a while, and during recess they like to pal around and call to each other from across the room. Would it be safe to give both of them as pets to a friend, to be each other's companion? My friend wants them but is on the fence right now. If the girls stay with me, how soon will it be necessary to separate them from their 3 male siblings (if at all)? The five are in a cage together right now, and are still happy to cozy up and roll around together.

Hen Losing Weight
Yes and maybe give the male plenty of extra treats too so he gives her lots of calories? I hope she is okay.

Babies Coming Out Of Nests
So cute, that little egg in the seed dish. It's amazing how beefy your babies are, compared to my pet-type budgies at that stage!

Hi
You should start a topic in Breeding Journals with pictures! I'd love to see an "ino" develop. Glad your babies are doing well.
