My Opaline Greygreen Split To Lacewing Cocks
thanks mate i can only hope as they are so beautiful and im very picky with what i buy so waited a while before even finding birds i liked just shows you that you need to really trust your seller and that its always best to ask simple questions like can they fly no matter how dumb you may feel asking it i have decided that if they dont come good and fly i wont breed them they can like live happy in their own aviary with 0ther birds that have been retired or for some reason i do not breed it may sound silly to some and a waste of two lovely boys but to me i wouldnt care if they were supper studs from top of the line quality stud if their is even a chance that a baby may pop up in future generations flightless then i dont want to be a countable for that birds are born to fly not hop or anything else so.....thats just me yeah sure i may get good quality birds with big heads and nice stance follow through ect ect but thats where i belive for me the line stops and the challange to fine others starts im just begining my line it needs to be soilid and glitch free or i will go backwards farst their will be other beautiful boys out their i just need to be pationt and wait till i can manage to fine one with the look im after and then i will be able to start a good strong line knowing that their will be no way, i may in future be selling someone a bird that possably may( probbly not) but may throw flightless birds thats not what i want to b known for in this hobby i want to be known for my dedication to keeping my birds healthy with all the quality needed to breed that winning bird i want to know for myself that my birds are worth people bringing into their stud yes im years off that but when i get their at least my birds will all beable to fly we need more people with your attitude you are going to go really well doing your show stock in time to come i just know it just one thing gb if you could change your mind and put the birds in with some others i think it would be of great benifit if they could see and watch other birds doing things like flying feeding etc you said they young i dont think they have had the oppertunity to do that this will make them more secure and very much less nervous because there is always something happening in a flight when we are not around whereas as at this stage all they seem to know is each other and it would be pretty much them sitting there which is probably why they freak out when you go in im sure it was all this that helped mine you know

My Opaline Greygreen Split To Lacewing Cocks
hi gb was reading this and in my way of thinking the only problem you have with these birds is the fact they have been left in a small cage for a time just eating and drinking i HOPE that after they have been in bigger flight and strenghened up you will find they can fly the fact one is sort of flying leads me to believe they will but have to build up the strengh first i dont think it will be a long time i have had a similar experience with my crest babies i had to leave some in their breeding cage because they were crestbred and looked normal like half dozen others untill i could get some split rings on their legs this made them not fly at all when let out for a time they were in cage for a bit it took a while but when they were stronger they flew so hope thats it for you like me :laughter:
