Birds Aren't Settling To Breed
I keep on eye on all my boxes, and if the birds were at any risk I would take them out. I wanted to know your guys opinions on the hens and cocks I have decided on. I will have the YF Cinnamon in with the Sky Blue, and I am taking both of the other pairs out. I am putting in one other pair and leaving the third box free. 1.st YF Cinnamon Rec. Pied X Sky Blue Cock Is the hen in condition? 2.nd WF Grey Spangle Hen X YF Light Green Cinnamon spangle. Is the hen in condition? My set-up. I would prefer not to show the whole area they are in for privacy reasons. 'Scuse the mess. Cleanup day tomorrow

Birds Aren't Settling To Breed
I keep my cages outside/inside. It is an outdoor room in a way, closed of on 3 sides. They are under a big shdey vine, really flowery and shady. The room has ventilation and is quite cool, but not cold.

Birds Aren't Settling To Breed
okay, I am feeling really stupid right now. I researched for ages and always got a chocolate brown cere is ready. Please forgive me, I am so stupid. So what now... I should get a light brown cere'd one from my avairy, not chocolate brown? The YF cinnamon has a light tan cere...would she be good to keep in? My computer is annoying me, I don't think I will get any photos tonight.

Birds Aren't Settling To Breed
Sorry I got a bit snappy... I just hate it when some people think I am to young to breed and am stupid about birds and stuff. Not saying you did, I am not very resilient :emoticon112:. Photo's uploading now

Birds Aren't Settling To Breed
I don't mean to be rude, But I know what a budgie in condition looks like. Both hens have the chocolate cere and are in healthy condition. They have been on a breeder's diet the last month before going into aviary. I can get some pictures up in about 30 mins.

Birds Aren't Settling To Breed
HI guys! I currently have in 3 pairs. I have a YF Pied Cinnamon in with a sky blue cock, a clearflight to a olive cinnamon and a violet tcb to normal violet. The first pair is an exhibition pair. YF Pied Cinnamon hen to WF Sky Blue with a violet bloom cock. They are doing fine, hen has bred before only 6 months previous and the cock is showing interest in nest (don't think he's bred). Been in for 3 days 2nd pair is a YF Green Clearflight Cock to a Olive Cinnamon Hen.They have been in for a week or more, still no eggs or interest in box. No flirting going on between them like in the aviary, hen in chocolate condition as I like to say. Both no experience... 3rd pair is WF Violet/Sky Blue tcb hen to WF normal violet. The cock has experience of one clutch, but it was with another hen. The tcb hen is not focused and is incredibly intent on shredding the whole newspaper on the bottom? Suggestions? They have been in since 5 days ago. I really want to get them breeding. The 2nd and 3rd pair. The cages they are in is good size, large box, food and water all the time and veggies ever other day. Newspaper on the bottom, pine shavings in box.

Good Pairings And Good Show Stock?
She does have some weak cinnamon on her. I actually don't want to go near cinnamon spangles, I personally don't like them very much. I want to focus on Blue cinnamon and Green, maybe violet. I have got my birds from the same breeder, she is really awesome and a big help.

Good Pairings And Good Show Stock?
Hi! I have a few questions. First of, I am getting into showing and currently have only 5 exhibition types, but I am getting another two later on. Birds that I am aiming to breed are Cinnamon varieties but my main aim is a WF Sky Blue Cinnamon. I love cinnamon birds and am also looking at lacewing and maybe fallow later on. First off, here are my plans to breeding the 7 birds. Can you please tell me if these are good plans and what they will get. YF Grey X Unknown. The hen was meant to be a Spangle Lacewing, but she deosn't have red eyes so me and the breeder are a bit confused. She has poor cinnamon markings though. Hen: http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...cs/RIMG2421.jpg (Pet Types for some violets) TCB Violet X Normal Violet What will I get? (Two new birds, Exhibition type) cinnamon green recessive pied X Sky blue Cock. split recessives, with the cocks also being split cinnamon I want to breed my Exhibition Light green Cinnamon Spangle with my pet type Olive Cinnamon. Then I want to breed a hen from them with a cock from the one above. Do these plans sound okay? I know I am putting a pet type with an exhibition one but I am hoping to breed the pet type back out and keep the colour.

Need Some Help
Hello! I have just goten 4 new english's budgies in and so I am thinking of re-pairing (lol) some of my birds this year, to get some nice chicks. So for all the breeders out there, who would you pair with who to get some nice looking chicks? I only have time for about 4 maybe 5 pairs I am going to do this coming season. My Females: Candy-Opaline Spangle Violet Willow-Opaline Grey Macadamia-Normal Sky Blue Charlie-Dominant Pied (Maybe Double Factor) Crumble-YF Opaline Blue Medusa-YF2 cinnamon opaline sky blue Angel(English)-White Opaline Lacewing Foxtrot(English)-Grey Spangle(Her father is a yf grey opaline and her mother is a yf spangle sky (very pretty). So, according to genetics, she is possibly a DF YF) My Males: Squeak-Spangle Cobalt Ozzie-Greywing Grey Apollo-Type 2 yellow face spangle sky blue. (possibly split to Ino) Romeo-Normal Violet Phantom-YF2 DF Spangle Archie-Green Clearflight No Name(English)- YF Grey Normal Melon(Engslih)-Light Green Dilute Cinnamon Spangle- Split to lacewing

My Gorgeous Flock
Thank you Unfortunately they are not tame but Romeo and Willow will come and sit on my head () When I am in the aviary. Candy is also venturing closer. But If I actually put my hand up to them they freak out and fly away

Shark Fins
Actually I have heard that term before... Hmm i say a budgie with it once. It look quite odd. Like the flight feathers had been bent up a little so there was a flick

My Gorgeous Flock
Hi Well.. I am new here but not to budgies so I just thought I would introduce my flock First of an update on numbers. Budgies (Males Blue.Females Pink. X= Paired) Squeak X Charlie Ozzie X Macadamia Apollo X Candy Romeo X Willow Archie X Crumble Phantom Medusa Cockatiels: Skittles...Minty...GadZooks (GadZooks hasn't choosen his mate yet ) Chick update: Since Christmas I have had 3 babies. I have also finished for this summer now. The babies are Willow and Romeos, Making Ozzie and Macadamia(Willows parents) My first grandparents. that makes me a Great Grandma:eek::eek: I have given all 3 to my friend who is starting up breeding budgies. Here are the pictures;) Be ready for the cuteness overload of...Babies with large black eyes...That look like chicks still...Small and soft...introducing.....Grey budgie babies! http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG0800.jpg http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG0810.jpg (Older) http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG1103.jpg http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG1107.jpg My New Avairy: I have in the last month aquired a larger avairy. My budgies are LOVING the extra space. It was only $150 and I have since added a shelf and I am working on a small playgym and other exciting toys and perches. I have a ginat swing in there that I got of my other budgie forum for Secret Santa and every time I go there at least one of my budgies is on it. The most I have seen is 4 It needs some loose wire and other things and bolts fixed but the budgies love it! http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2137.jpg Charlie and Squeak: Squeak is my baby. I love him so much and he comes up to the cage for kisses. He has had a 'realtionship' with Charlie for a while now. Charlie has a pink cere with a couple blue bits on it, so I assumed my two boys were...well close. Soooo They fed each other and all:o but I never put them in the breeding cage cause... They were two guys. So it shocks me when I go down there and Charlie's cere is Chocolate brown. Only turned this spring. They would both be about 3 now. So next Breeding season I am breeding them! (Charlie is the white one) http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2142.jpg Squeak is my baby. He was my first one and he just outshines the rest.He is the only tame one and loves kisses.. I never knew a relationship with an animal could be that close http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2138.jpg Ozzie and Macadamia: Ozzie is a Dilute Greywing Grey or a Greywing Grey. Macadamia is just a normal blue. They have had 3 clutches and Willow was there first ever chick. Apollo and Candy: There I have opaline spangle violet hen (Candy) and Type 2 yellow face spangle sky blue possibly opaline. They have had one clutch of chicks: Type 2 yellow face opaline spangle sky blue Yellow face spangle cobalt (probably type 2 as well but looks type 1) Normal cobalt Opaline cobalt Double Factor Spangle (Phantom) With suffusion http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2149.jpg Romeo and Willow: As you saw above they had chicks! There first lot.Below is Willows Mum, Macadamia the blue and Willow and Romeo. (Willow Grey) http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2145.jpg Archie and Crumble: Well that was a surprise. I never would have thought they would. Crumble has been depressed evr since her previous mate flew away. So I went to breed them. But unsccessful. I saw them mating. Either Archie isn't fertile yet because he is to young or Crumble is to old. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2143.jpg Phantom: Well he is going well and being a little rat like normal. He is trying to strike a relationship up with Ozzie. He is very silly to get pictures of so this is the best I got http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG0757.jpg Medusa: She is her normally grouchy self. Living up to her name. She is my first cinnamon... I am *Hoping* To breed her with Phantom. She is supposedly a Cinnamon GoldenFace Green (I think). Group Photos!: From Left to Right: Ozzie (Grey) Phantom(Yellow) Apollo(Green) Charlie(White) Squeak(Blue) http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2141.jpg From left to Right: Medusa(Lime Green) Crumble(Violet/Green) Archie(Clearflight Green) Macadamia(Blue) Candy(Purple) Apollo(Green) http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd279/S...le/RIMG2151.jpg You also can see below I have a picture of each of my birds with there name underneath All my birds are quite scraggly at the moment sorry
