I've Started Conversion To Pellets
I think I will try this method for my hen Sorcha, who has the fatty liver. She won't eat the veggies, and so she's still mostly on a seed diet.

Your User Name - What Does It Mean?
Hi Angelic!! I didn't know Amy S was the same person! In fact, that explains why in one of your posts I called you Angelic on accident, cuz I must have posted it before the change. (On re-reading it I just thought I was stupid.)

G!! :hmm: B!! Go GBs birds Go!! :party0011: (Maybe they are better cuz you stopped the Doxy?)- Finnie's Breeding Journal
HA HA! GB can you tell that by looking, or did you go back and look at the parents? LOL (To save anyone else from going back, both parents are sky blue, the hen is Yf2 and the cock is opaline. ) Yes, I'll do more pics. Finnie's should start getting pins soon.- Big Blue ( Aka Kd ) And Spice
If I get a boy chick, I will name it Dave. It will be beloved. Uh, is Dave an Irish name?- Start Of 2010 Breeding Season
Well, then I will be glad when they fly and if I drop one, it won't fall. But wait, then it might crash into something! I guess a mother's worries are never over. What was I thinking having 20 more babies!?!- Hot Days Are With Us Already!
I know this is , however, what is "backlining" sheep?- Finnie's Breeding Journal
Today's newest hatchling- Phoebe and Bailey's 3rd chick. It is right on schedule as if the 3rd egg didn't hatch but the 4th egg did. So I will expect egg #5 to hatch into baby #4 in two more days, and for the final egg to never hatch. (Does that make sense to anyone other than me?) My camera battery died after I snapped that hatchling. Fortunately, I had already got individual shots of Colleen's oldest four for GB first!! For your perusal, here is Chick #1, officially known as CS#1 until I name her. CS#2: CS#3: And CS#4: Don't worry about their legs in the photo op box, they are not sliding around like that at home in their nest box. Not having ever seen any grey down yet, I have nothing to compare to. (Even Finnie's oldest chick looks like it is getting white down. ) Today I thought CS#1's down was looking less sparkling white, and am thinking maybe I misjudged her, or else maybe she's getting a little dirty. If any of you with more experienced eyes have any observations you would like to make, it could help me to learn how to pick out different things. Thanks, Finnie- ....and Another Budgie For My Flock...
because it helps us who are learning . Just maybe a little slow. (By the way, I might not have tail color down yet, but since I'm supposed to have learned cheek patches, I went back over the pics, and sure enough, bright colored cheek patches!) Finnie goes back to find and reread Nubbly's clearwing topic....... Here is the link to Nubbly's pinned topic on clearwings. Clearwing topic So tail quill and tail feather color are not neccessarily to be relied on, I guess. We should look more to whether the wing markings are fuzzy or washed out looking? That helps explain something for me. Several of my birds have wing markings that look almost spangle, but are obviously not. It's just that the grey is more washed out on the main part of the feather. So I suppose those are clearwings, as opposed to greywings, maybe. I will have to go look at those birds again, and compare the other indicators as well.- Start Of 2010 Breeding Season
Well, I will be glad when those pink bums don't stick to each other anymore!- ....and Another Budgie For My Flock...
I can see grey on her flights, and I can also see that her tail quill is grey. So I think that means greywing, not clearwing. And I think she is too yellow to be yf2. I have read that even the greens start out with some blue and the yellow suffuses as they grow. I don't see any sign of cinnamon. Pet type notwithstanding, you couldn't find a closer match to Kaz' green greywing if you looked for a hundred years! I agree with Kaz. By the way, nice find!- Start Of 2010 Breeding Season
Your babies are really cute. It must be fun seeing them feather up and turn different colors!- Our Aviary
Kaz' ideas shoud help you to keep it from rotting, but also, the areas you are concerned about will not really be accessible to the budgies chewing (i.e. the outsides), so your paint job should last better in those spots than in the spots that get chewed. It looks like you painted before assembly, so does that mean you painted the underneath side of the frame, the part that sits on the concrete? That should help a little. There are lots of posts by member in the aviary section about how they weather proof their aviaries. Your set up looks very nice. I wish I could have an outdoor aviary.- What Did The Budgerigar Evolve From?
Sorry , Jeddo, but the evolutionists don't even know the answer to that. Because they made it up.- Post Pictures: Of Your Dogs
Finn.....I like that name! My tricolor sheltie has a very thin coat. When she was a pup, it was very short, and since people are really only used to seeing sable shelties (Lassie color), people would ask me if she was a mix breed. I would tell them she was my "smooth" sheltie! She is 8 now, almost as old as your Finn.- Finnie's Breeding Journal
Thank you, Renee, although it's probably a testament to my OCD tendancies! okay, GB. Will do that at this morning's check time. (Too bad that will be 1 am for you guys, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see them. )- Hot Days Are With Us Already!
This extended part is nice, Kaz, so you don't have to worry about getting your concrete floor wet.- Post Pictures: Of Your Dogs
This is my flat coated retriever, Edy. (She was named after a brand of ice cream, here in the U.S. Her full name is Edy's Rocky Road, CD, CGC.) We adopted her when she was 7 months old, and she was 13 1/2 years old when we had to have her put down last week. Here she is with her buddies, Tanja, the German shepherd dog, and Birdie, the Shetland sheep dog. We no longer have Tanja, either, so Birdie is an only dog for the first time in her life. We are getting a new friend for her, probably next week. Of course, I will put up the new baby pictures as soon as possible!- Hen Pecked Budgie!
I agree with Ratzy. If you got another hen, the poor boy would be in even more trouble!- Defields Breeding Journal For 2010
Is this a good thing?- Big Blue ( Aka Kd ) And Spice
You guys are too funny. I hope Kaz is ROFL!!- Is This A Clearwing?
Could it be clearwing and spangle, Clearwing? Any chance of opaline in there, too? - My Birds Are Unwell
