  1. thank all and daz I'll keep in mind. I got a buzz seeing it again this morning. You can see it looking out my kitchen window. And I can sit and watch them while i have a cuppa and breakfast later too edit to add: we also choose to dig out the base a bit late yesterday to sink it down a bit and to get it level (it was slightly off)
  2. Mine do that too, it's a safty thing. The scream in the wide to try and 'chase' away the thing getting in the box and for mum. At least that's what I think. Just pick him up and keep handling the squeaking should stop after a while.

Yep tell them it's an emergancy so they will fit you in. I say he could have suffered a stroke but I'm no where near and expert. It's good your here asking for help but all we can say here is get Beakie to the vets. Keeping him and and quiet is good. NO more fly time until he is checked out so as not to stress him more. If he eats veggies give him his fave he may eat some and get a bit of strengh from that and/or even try some millet on the cage of the floor if he is having trouble stayin on the perch or right beside him so he doesn't have to move. If he is sleeping let him to kept his strengh. I have my fingers crossed that he pull through this.
  6. oh Terri I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope they are both okay. I havn't heard about either before. My book on health is waiting to be collected I'm hoping to get it tommorrow and if I do I will look these up for you.
  7. err don't take them over? Is there a problem with age here? You just might need to have one in the cage and one out all the time.
  8. I'm look at that trying to think which way would be best, to dig out the back a bit and lower it all down or filling the front. To dig it means having to move it a bit at the time to dig under it now (Laughing out loud). The shade cloth is a great idea I might use that. It would be quick simple cheap and workable :grbud: We have the tent pegs might even still have some shadecloth left over from when the pagola (sp?) was redone. You have to get us a picture of that baby !! I'm so happy for you.
  9. (Laughing out loud) doesn't really help becuase spangle have a dot as well. Is the body all one colour? do they look a bit like this? or different.
  10. okay oh and what i mean by folder is sub album. I couldn't remember the correct name before.
  11. Well as you should know I won the cage off ebay (woot) http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....wtopic=9241&hl= If you care to read the start. I went off and got it today the day I won it :ausb: The people where great and only like a 5 min drive from me. Thankfully since of the way we got it home (pictures) The help get it on the trailer and offer a few more boxes to the set, even offered some breeding cages too but they were too water damaged to be bothered with. It is now set up with all the boxes removed from the inside. We also brought with us half a coloney of ants that thought the unused boxes where a great place to live. That was the only bad thing the boxes where not cleaned out after been used so the sawdust and feather where still in there :grbud: Nothing a good clean will not fix since the boxes themselves are in good nick. Any way it's in place a slightly different why to what i was thinking but I like it this way better. I just have to clean it all out and fill in the ground to make it level. I'm going to have to use gravel and sand on the bottom.....or pavers like i remember seein in homers just now Wow a long story well enjoy the pictures it will stay like this for a little while now. out the front you can see our 'bush' in the background that is our view from the front of the house now in place, you can see the gap that needs filling at the front. I also need to look about setting up another door or something to block the door as I walk in.
  12. dilutes get a violet looking cheek patch. Dark blue can sometimes mean they carry the violet gene. White patchs can mean dominant pied, a mix of white and blue feathers are matched with spangles. Umm Yeah you can get a while range of different cheek patches.

I like the twist on daisy :hap: (although I did think DAZ-EE) when I first read it What about another flower name -Violet Iris ??
  14. She is albino. But it's a sex-linked gene and if you had any this time dad would have to be split for it. If you can see some faint lines on her wings she might be lacewing, which is cinnamon and ino gene together. (agains ex-linked gene) I know you will get blue babies They look great and I love the 'stacks on' stage of them.

odd name but when I looked at them this time Pearl came to mind I was looking at "Tweeter" at the time.
  16. what a cutie Just as well these birds are cute the way the run away from all the good things we try and give them.
  17. Don't ask me it just does it :(Laughing out loud): Make a new folder in the same account before making a new one.
  18. :(Laughing out loud): Keep trying, It might be an idea to half the amount on them (just to save a bit ) Glad the tiel like it. What is his/her name?

I think it could just be a mouting thing, but to be sure he isn't sneezing a lot, or even jsut a few times? If he is then it could a a slight discharge that is staining the feather, but that normal makes them look wet.
  20. I say the two oldest are recessive (which you said) the next two look like normals a blue then a green. And yes the youngest is too early to see. By the way you left normal blue of your possible outcomes.
  21. Freckle is too old to have any more she will be 6 in June. But they are still bonded and so mate every now and then. I am thinking of Breaking it and breeding Pie to another but they are so much in love it would be a hard thing to do. But he was a great father. Since I posted about this they seemed to have calmed down a bit again still some screaming in the morning at breakfast time and at night but not so much in the day now. Isn't that aways the way (Laughing out loud).
  22. Shawna- Yes they all have the black tiped beak I'ts sad to see that go along with the black eyes. Kirby- well done its pronounced Reep-a-cheep (yes before I was missing the 'h' in the name) it's spelt Reepicheep. Cheeta- some are :(Laughing out loud): Squeaker is a scary cat and Scuttle is a bit too. Echo Berry and Squeaker where out today. echo once agian on the branch, Squeaker just next to the box so he could dash back inside and Berry sitting in the seed. :hap: I'm so glad Berry is a girl or else I wouldn't be able to tell her and Echo apart.
