My Avairy (updated)
:(Laughing out loud): Yep all but Easter for me. Family camp Don't fear I have set up a badysitter (or birdsitter) Too Help keep the cage in place (I'm sure it would have to be a VERy strong wind to knock it for six) we are going to use some star pickets in the corners and screw or bolt them to the cage.

My Budgies Decided To Mate!
Things are looking good. A lot of hens whill drop a few feathers in the box. Just be sure to check she isn't coming into a big moult becuase that and laying and raiseing chicks whould be extra stressful.

My Babies Are Growing Up
It just cause Reepi is so different to the others. I'm giving them away (well some) to a friend and other family members if they are wanting too. If not they are all staying with me to be moved into the new BIG home for them later this month.

Breeding Yf2
Since this is for your enjoyment only I wouldn't see the fuss about it this is the ideal piar you want to make I was just informing. Looking again I think Star is a yellowface typw two and Wylie might be a goldenface.

My New Budgie Wont Eat
are you sure? are there now husks in the dish? If not then do as Natalie said and add some millet or sprinkle some food on the bottom of the cage, they seem to find that easier at the start then the dish full of food.

Not Feeding..?
Since she didn't feed the first one be watch full with the next, if she hasn't feed it ( and I would be worried after 3 hours but that's just me) Do as daz said then return the chick to the box. Keep doing so until mum gets the idea or if she doesn't you will have to take over and feed all the time.

My Babies Are Growing Up
it sure will. Tootie is starting to nest again she has picked out a spot in the box for her and sits there on and off. Squeaker was out this morning with Berry and Echo and tried some the green for himself

Tumors And Yellow Droppings
the book I got does list anything like this it's more about what to do to protect your bird from infectious diseases. There was only one that spoke of yellow-green droppings but it was a sudden death disease which doesn't sound like what Piper has if her poop is back to normal. Fingers crossed that both are okay. I didn't find things about the lump just about the fatty tumour.

My Babies Are Growing Up
Really look at Berry then dash back to look at echo and you can see a differance, she is a SHE. Her cere is almost all light blue in real life now. Reepicheep and Scuttle are a bit up in the air as yet but they are slightly paler than what Echo and Squeaker where at that age. belco- none of them sqwark now as I take them out of the box. Scuttle can nibble my hand a bit too hard sometimes but not in an angry way.

Number 7
Aww the poor little one Misty big hugs from me. We all know she loved all her birds and doing all she can to keep them all safe and healthy. I would see about finding another pet shop, it seems this one doesn't have the best suppilers.

New Photos Again
The first one might be a grey wing or a cinnamon. Its a bit hard to tell in the picture but I can see it's not the normal black. Ans yes the last two looked opaline as well.
-
Cheek Spots?
She is a spangle and a yellowface (type 2) Your right with the wings the would be bluish green the same as the body if opaline.

My Avairy (updated)
11 birds I cage was already nailed to blocks of wood. We are burying that to get the metal level to the ground to hold it in place.

My Babies Are Growing Up
It all happens so fast, after waiting and waiting for eggs then waiting and more waiting for babies, the time just flys away. Enjoy the pictures: Squeaker (i say boy): Echo(boy): Berry(girl): Reepicheep(starting to look likea girl): Scuttle(might be another girl): The funny thing is none of them have strong bars to the tip of there cere. What you see in the pictures isn't always from the flash washing them out.

My Avairy (updated)
after easter break some time. I hope to have the ground inside level before thenm and the small other bit to fix, so it's an easy step to putting them in. I'm already out in the bush ( the bit you see in the first to two shots) hunting for some wood to put in it.

Breeding Yf2
No I think Shawna is right I can see the bleed coming in on Wylie not 100% sure on Star still. One thing to keep in mind is once you join the yf1 and yf 2 it's hard to tell what is what and to break the mix apart again.

My Avairy (updated)
What do you think this is :bluebudgie: It doesn't look any different from the pictures posted above. I stand in and can picture bird flying around and "Hopefuly" climbing on me :ausb:

Butcher Birds
About the size of a tiel, and related to magpies ( i think). They eat meat and have a sharp hook on the end of their beak. http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/breen/fobc/birds8.jpg I would think if they are around now start to chase them away when you can to make them scared of your place. That's all i can think of.

My Budgies Decided To Mate!
:(Laughing out loud): They will mate very often during the 9 odd days it take for the first egg to appear. Is she starting to check the box out? Have you got anything in the bottom of the box? Wood shavings are safe for them and help keep the box clean when there are bubs inside. Some time it is kicked all out by the hen as she makes it 'perfect' to her. It also give her somethingfocus her nesting behaviour on.

Advice Wanted.
looks like it. The beak is all flacky looking too where as before it was smooth. A trip to the vet is in order to be sure it is the mite and for the treatment.
