Hi everyone. I'm Daz.

Thanks nerwen. Both parents spend alot of time in the box. I am sure that the chick is not cold with all that warmth. The father seems to be doing a great job. All I ever see of him is at the seed dish or the fresh vegi dish or in the box. I hope the other egg hatches soon or the chick might bully the younger one.

It's 7:11am here at the moment. 13 deg c out side. We should be heading for 29deg c today. I'll wait till the temp warms up a bit and then take some shots. He/she is still okay this morning. This is exciting Here is the little one. Sorry about the double post.

Well day 3 for the chick. I am still waiting for the third egg to hatch. It should be tommorrow or Sunday. If it is not hatched by Sunday i'll candle it to see whats going on? Photos tomorrow. It's Saturday here.

Now I beleive that Quarrentine is for Birds that have possible virus's that could have been caught from other birds. Eg form Breeders or Pet shops ect. Second thought, what if the bird had a cold. I suppose you should still quarrentine. Just to be careful. It would give you time to check the new bird out too.
