What is "normal" poo?
Geoge is yellow, not a lutino but a recessive pied yellow, and doesn't have this problem.

What is "normal" poo?
Hi Buuzbee, I can't answer why sugar is geting dirty vent feathers but as to her acting. Budgie don't act sick or show sickness until they are very sick. I would surgest giving the apple a miss for a few days and see if that clears up the problem.

will they mate?

I have a question...
1st You will need to get a female over suitable age. 1 year old birds are the standard for breeding. (yes some will breed as young as 6 months) 2nd You will need a suitable breeding box. 3nd You will need to house the babies after there are ready to fledge (leave the breeding box) Inter breeding is an interesting topic that brings the best and worst out in people. Some breeders inter breed to strengthen the strain (good points) but some don't because it can lead to mutations. I for one do not inter breed. That is my decision.

Bumble foot (pododermatitis) Bumble foot refers to an inflammatory or degenerative condition of the foot. In mild cases, redness or swelling on the plantar (bottom) surface of the foot, while severe bumble foot involves deep-seated abscesses and infection of the bone. This condition is most prevalent in heavy bodied birds such as amazons, raptors and waterfowl. Many factors are thought to be involved - including poor nutritional status, improper perches, improper environment and trauma to the foot. Early bumble foot can be treated successfully while severe cases involving bone carry a poor prognosis. Thank you for your input Gil. I will add to my library. :bluebudgie:

Sand in the aviary?
Guys before you go crazy with worry, just remember that the budgie orginally came from the arid parts of Australia. In these areas we have a lot of Bull Dust.(no kidding) It is very fine dust like talcom powder. If the budgies can survive out there they can survive with fine sand.

hi, i really need help with my question
Getting back to what nerwen asked before.. are you sure you have two females? I have heard of a stray egg being laid but to have 3 eggs in 3 days she must be getting stimulus from some where. Are there a fight when the other bird trys to sit on the eggs. There should be some conflect if they are two females? Have you seen the birds feeding eat other. If so is winnie try to feed charlie or the other way around? Can you post some photos of the birds so we can see them?
