Online Seed/grain Supplier?
I can't answer the first question but I would say no to the other one, birds and reptiles are different and need different things. They can't share calcium or UV-lamps. I use a really good calcium product called calcivet, it is for parrots! I bought it from www.birdcareco.com (I hope it's okay linking to companies? If it isn't you can send me a pm and I will give you the link).

Fjådor Is Moving In!
Hohoo in my opinion your comments are the most fun. They don't have access to the whole house but they have pretty okay space to rule over. I wish they have had an aviary right next to the house so they could be outside and play. It will be easier for you when you don't live home anymore you know! But it sounds like your birds have a good life already, so don't worry.

Fjådor Is Moving In!
Yesterday Fjådor moved in with the other birds. They started with a long and intense sleep just because they like to drive me crazy. Fjådor slept in his cage and The Crew in their tree. All of them pretended that the other part didn't exist. After they had been screaming insults to each other for half an hour Fjådor stamped outside the cage and gave the other birds an evil look. But after getting evil looks back (from everyone except Winchester of course, it is physically impossible for him to look evil) Fjådor decided to sneak in again to his understanding friend the Blue-Green Toy Ball. Finally he flied outside the cage and then he ran a hundred laps around the room checking out the place, the trees, the birds and the food. He thought that the corners were a bit too dirty for his taste and that the aboriginals looked familiar. (Winchester is his uncle and Avril is his niece. Both of them are clones of his parents.) After a second Fjådor appointed himself as Winchesters wannabe and he followed him everywhere. All he wanted was to chew at him and crash into him. Winchester wasn't that impressed I must say. Winchester was hit by a uncontrollable feeling of that he wanted to bite the baby. Which he did. Then the baby bit back and Winchester went pink of embarrassment. Avril and Petronella wasn't that impressed by the whole thing and after a while the CrewBirds sat at my left shoulder and sighted loudly, Fjådor on the other hand sat at my head and roared out his strength and brave. Crazy is what it is! Today Petronella and Avril taught him how things work around here. This is the rules Do as you are told or you will be bitten You will be bitten anyway Do not listen at your owner And do not listen at Winchester either. It is totally okay to destroy the wallpapers. Your owner will think it is funny. If she yells is it because she is so proud of you, keep destroying. Throwing food at the flor is just cute. Your owner will think that too! Being inconsequent is good! Fly to humans and be cuddly one minute as long as you faint from fair next time you se them. When the humans are holding a camera they want us to look ugly. Look ugly! Or even better, make Winchester look ugly Your owner will like you more if you bite her! It is totally okay to bite Winchester too. The humans like when we bend each others feathers. The tailfeather gives 50 points! Doing as you're told is not necessary, unless it is something we told ya! Fjådor hasn't learn the rules yet (good for me). I will discuss this with him when Avril and Petronella sleeps. I have to make him realize who's side he is on, after all I'm the one with the key to the food box. Fjådor likes uncle Winchester Winchester don't really he feel the same. Fjådor is like that annoying kid at junior-level who didn't accept that he couldn't play with the c00l kids but followed them anyway. I don't know if I dare tell Petronella that this is an arranged marriage. Or; I know I don't. Fjådor likes to bit Winchester in his toes. GROOOAW said Winchester then. Corporal punishment is good appointing to Winchester GROOAW says Fjådor about that. Fjådor really admire squirrels. Ooooh I'm sorry for all the grammatical mistakes in this text.

Taming Tips (faq Section)
1. How old was your budgie (s) when you purchased him/her Hugo: 6 weeks Winchester: 9 weeks Avril: 7 weeks Petronella: ~ 2 years Fjådor: 8 weeks 2. If you tamed your budgie right out of the nest, when did you start taming and handling the chick? Hugo was from a bad breeder that didn't care about the birds so no he wasn't tame ore used to humans. Petronella is from a pet store, then she moved to a girl who gave her away to my friend (the breeder) who sold her to me after she have had a litter. (I totally fell in love with her so it was not planned at all). Winchester, Avril and Fjådor are direct from the breeder who has been working with them since they were eggs, but just a couple of minutes a day when she was cleening the nest, so they have been with their parents and siblings until they left the nest. 3. Was your budgie tame a little or not at all? Hugo: NOOOOT at all Winchester: well he had met humans before at least. Avril: Yes, she was tough and intrepid. But she has always been keen on her integrity. Petronella: no not at all, she had never been tame and she had lived in an aviary with other parrots the last six month. 4. When you tamed your budgie was he the only budgie, or did you buy them in pairs, or was he an addition? Did your first budgie stay tame, and how did the taming go for the additional budgie (s) Hugo: He was afraid of me for a very long time, I forced him to be alone with me for a year witch I regret. He was so sad and lonely. He went tame when he got a bird-friend tough. Winchester: He has never been alone and it took a week or two before he trusted me, but he sat on my hand and head after an hour or something like that. Hugo learned him that humans are friends. Avril: She has never been alone and she isn't afraid of anything. Hugo and Winchester taught her to like me. Petronella: She had lived in an aviary with other birds and never been tame or alone, but my other birds learned her to like me so after a few days she flied to my hand if I called her name, just like the other ones. Fjådor: He is a veeery active bird who was alone in the quarantine for a couple of weeks, he is cuddly and loves people, but Ii doubt that it would depend on the loneliness. He has just a good personality. Now he is with the other birds and he is just as sweet as always! None of my birds has become less tame when they got friends; they have rather been more lovely and cuddly. 5. What is your best tip you can give (don't say everyone else gave good tips (Laughing out loud)) what did YOU find worked well for you and WHY? All birds are personalities, don't force them to anything, give them at least one budgie-friend to play with when you are at work or in school and show them that you are trustworthy. Treat them with respect and have always a bit of candy ready for them Don't be sad if it goes slow or if the training takes a few steps backwards, it is normal and if you just are patient they WILL trust you sooner or later. Anything else you would like to add? I don't consider that it is nice to hold birds alone, clip their wings or hand feed them. (no offense to anyone, it is just what I think) They are intelligent and they will like you even if you let them fly, play with other birds and get raised by their parents. After all you are their human!
