All About Budgie Ceres
this is very true also some thing to add males go barren for some times 4 to 5 months a year yes thats right infertile totally they too do come into season to breed as mentioned the first sign is indeed the deep bright shinning glossy cere thats why if a cock is young (08 or 07 three or 4 year old ) and doesn't fill i keep them if good as its just trying them a year or a few months latter at a different time of year

i am sorry k&m i dont know where you read that or who told you but this is not true i had a period where i thought it was but have found out its incorrect maybe we read same info to start with ??? as seems today all stuff i use to think befoe i was informed correctly is same as your beliefs spinich is feed to my breeding hens and cocks dayly i dont feed my birds parsley though its high in iron and it does not absorb the calcium from the birds splayed legs more often so than not is from rickets however here is some info on it can be from hen sitting tight but if in more than one chick its more than that http://www.bcv.asn.au/Splayed.html

New Cage Options?
i have one it sucks big time and the amount of birds you lose as they are supper quick :{ suspended is great idea stop things like cocci too as no food on ground or poo to get sick from just let the seed grow up and will have home grown bird garden under them put you beets their too
-
First Breeding Journal
just keep handling them all spend alone time with them all hold them dayly as they grow up till three months and they will all be tame so wont matter what one you give her if you give her a pied id say ace as dark flights on the wings not good for quality show bird

YOU LIKE TO COOK SPLAT ????? How to Poison Mice Without Using Dangerous Chemicals, Very Cheap and Easy By makaju, eHow Member User-Submitted Article When we first moved into our country home, we were surprised to find out that we had housemates. Little buggy mice!!! Well, I just happened to remember something I had learned while in school many years before. A little known fact-- Mice and rodents cannot pass gas. So, instead of laying out messy traps, or using dangerous poisons, just grab a box of baking soda!! Difficulty: Easy Instructions Things You'll Need: * baking soda 1. 1 When you find evidence of a rodent, sprinkle baking soda in the area. It doesn't have to be a lot of baking soda, just a nice trail where you think the nasty little vermin in running around. When the mouse comes back to the same area, he will run through the baking soda. At some point, the mouse will start cleaning himself by licking the baking soda off his paws and that is how he will "ingest" the "poison". Since mice cannot pass gas, the baking soda will be trapped in his stomach and he will implode from within resulting in death. One of the best things about using baking soda compared to real poison is that if you have a cat or dog that runs across the mouse, your pet will be in no danger of getting sick or dying. 2. 2 Another good way to use the baking soda trick is to double it up with a mouse trap. If you sprinkle baking soda on the "bait" of the trap, you will be sure to kill the bugger, even if he slips the trap. I use peanut butter laced with baking soda when I feel the need to use a trap. 3. 3 Also, when you clean your cupboards, place a small dish of baking soda in each one... preventative measures are so worthwhile!! First Breeding Journal
but if pie is / rec pied than so has to be doormat and not only that the pied gene being recessive may not go to all chicks as its only a 25 percent chance of a / rec pieds chicks getting the genetics for rec pied so you wouldnt know which daughter so but if the chicks pied you wont need to worry as if its rec pied you know both mum and dad are indeed split as you cant possably get a rec pied unless they both are split to it so did i make sense ???
-
First Breeding Journal
not board confused ace looks pied and potato well potato looks like pied also but ....ace seems to resemble rec pied markings rather than dom is this possible mum n dad could be split ???? other wise i got it backwards ace is pied n potato is not potato looks yellow face as does ace but im really not sure any more and may just shut up

How Many Budgies And What Else Can Go In With Budgies?
your birds could of made the other bird sick does not seem that you quarenteened them could be why it died or .... could not be im no good with sizes but quail need at least 2 meters by two meters so you can come in and out without frightning them they fly straight up and hit hard if scarred :{ may hurt themselves

First Breeding Journal
yep it is old enough now that if it was normal it would display dark wings all over if you look at its wings where the bend is its got a dark triangle of colour (dark but thats it nothing else i can see a bit more coming in across the top end of flights i could be wrong about it but im pretty certain looks pied to me as would be darker wings looks like one that may come out with a dark tail feather rather than a white one in center ?? maybe cant predict that but resembles the wing marks of some mine that came out with the one black flight in tail ( big call i know ) but ill risk pie on my face for a guess on it im calling yellow face on three of them also but will only tell you why if im correct :} the one you said but is obvious now and two of the others

Avalon House -The Fox Stud-Gb8-Show Birds
well i dont really ever have anything go wrong i pretty much was already mostly aware of issues that can arise but its good if i just need to ask a question like say i have a Chickie which would be better off destroyed sooner rather than latter and we all get the od one its just nice to know i have a second opinion also if i think my flocks unwell i can reflect on him and his opinion which is great as i find im a bit obsessed with the health of my flock and im always worryed theirs something wrong to be honest if it was not for him id probbly given it in as i would stress more than injoy and id just gone back to pets as they dont have any of the issues show birds bring i still dislike calling him as i feel im impossing on his life and time so i normally just hang in their till i see him most times i end up just following my own instinct about something if i have a big issue i will call but thats not often what he does most for me is reinforces in my self that to continue in the game as theirs many breeders whom do give you the time of day its just finding one i have many people whom i can discuss and talk to about anything now it took a while however i worked out a small majority whom are truly willing to be of assistance and for all diffrent things regarding different issues and information i may be seeking some people are very good at pretending they are on your side and helping but only few truly are ive found yet i just smile and listen to everyone take in what i know to be honest help and filter the rest from one ear and out the other mostly you can tell a honest breeder as they dont stand around bagging all the rest nor do they crack it when their bird is put down a place due to judges decision its a hobby after all and okay so some people have money and win through buying top birds and breeding them to each other year after year not really ever establishing their own true line n to tell you the truth ' if i never win against these people i would not care as i know when i finally start winning on the bench it will be from my own breeding decisions are learn't ability to pair after all to me its not the win its about its the socializing and consent learning of others experiences and the satisfaction knowing that even if my birds are not coming up top that i have improved every season on what i am breeding maybe ill never have birds like these top benches but im not really chasing that im enjoying the experience and the joy of going into my flight and seeing a new life or the development of a young chick into a beautiful creature of in my view grace and cheekiness all rolled in one my birs really are a rock for me and a out let from my daily routine of being unable to get out and about much i can sit their for hours and just let the days pass and not feel like im missing anything as im actually experiencing something a lot dont get to TRANQUILITY AND PEACE
