you didnt listen to me i didnt say to go by an expensive bird just a show size one 20 dollors at your local pet shop well in my case anyhow breed two different larger cocks to two different pet type hens then the chicks when older breed them together keep all the large babys and sell the smaller ones the small birds sometimes carry the larger genetics and through bigger chicks i dont sell any chicks i think i may want to breed with for at least 4 months pet type show mixed stock as they can develop still longer if i have the room dont just sell cause what we say follow your own judgment but dont breed back to dad do what i said this upsizes the birds over time

okay if this is in wrong place please change it i have a cock bird looks like something is in his ear cavity and still alive he seems good eatting and all then he starts looking up in the sky all like he is on drugs then he has a fit but not a fit just he like freaks out going in circles unbalancedand it seems to be in his right ear he is in pain i can see that then the pain stops and he is fine again can i flush his ear with salt water or will this damage him or hurt him more the vets are all closed and the animal hospital is like hours away and i dont drive no i dont have anyone who can take me so i need to find an awnser please can anyone sugest anything im trying to get a vid of what he does he is not sick this is something else ive never seen

have you got picture of mum seems she doesnt have dads head just mabe broadness across back if i was you i would not be to quick in putting his potancy into her i would pair him with you bigest headed hen see the out come first if thats what you want to do she to me i would sell but thats me thats going on pet type birds also i would not breed back to dad she has a small head my suggestion is to get another large show cull and breed her to that then chicks from that breed the daughter to your cock pictured here you should see more of the genetic make up this way and upsize heads also

have you got picture of the mother father and sisters brothers if you can show me these i will be able to tell you which will be the one to hold the fathers genetics more so i breed like this all the time with my pet types although now they are all large lol so but i have gotten usto seeing the passed on fetchers and knowing which chick will develop better its not always the biggest one either you just need to learn to recognize the different quality's in the pairing and see what chick got how much of who i cant explain but with pics could show u in detail what i mean take picture of all and i will give it my best shot usually chicks molt out better than what they are though

well i really must disagree i have bred my birds in aviary for since i can remember i kind of alternate though to be honest but i find so long as the birds are really into each other then you dont get the jail brake effect happening my birds all became more active watching the morning and night and afternoon peep shows lol the most i found is everyone started coming into condition and i had not enough breeding cages lol you need to watch the hens though the ones in aviary they can try to get in to others to get box and can bit eachother through wire thats the only bad ,,i can see in it other than that...better as they can see all the birds, and they are colony breeders after all fix the cages so the birds can not get onto wire by using some clear perspex and drill holes in it so birds still can gain air and see each other just tie on with wire so they flip up for accsess i found it to be good results with always firtile eggs id try it ..all birds are different personally if i see jail breakers i return to aviary as i feel they are not ready and try them in a few weeks but thats me

yes it is because they are keeping brothers company it is cute but im usto my birds flying around not waddling on the floor like ducks lol and sitting down low the aviary looks bare okay i will wait for other advice also your probbly right though no harm nothings broke so dont fix hay

up date on these two splendid boys well no change with joey but he is becoming more beautiful every day i can see why people just breed them regardless of their flightlessness herman the other cock he can fly across low to the ground about 1 and a half feet high i think he would fly more only he wants to be with brother all the time he wont leave his side and alot of my other birds are spending the days on the ground or low perches placed their for them i dont think this is good would you remove the jumpping one and give the better one a chance or would you just leave them be :hap:

sorry hills my care factor on chickens is zerro infact i worked at ingams and had the job of walking through and necking the ones that were hurt from over crowding or attack it was the most human thing to do given their cercome stances and we were taught a certain meathod of percedor to do it quick i fail to see chicken farms like that anymore so i dont know where you pulled that from but even then thoughs chickens are all at league age to be laying so ???????? it is not allowed by law to keep chickens like that anymore and if you know of a place that does then report it and it will be delt with
