Is it known for parents to bite the beaks off of their fully feathered young that are still in the nest? I cant find any info on it on the net? Not just in budgies but in all birds such as superb parrots? Does any one know any causes etc? (ps the babies died)

Well I wasnt really too worried untill he hit 5 weeks and I was like ARG! I got mak at 5 weeks and he looks nothing like him.

He was 4 weeks on christmas day. I guess he is 5 weeks now. Developing very quickly now. (also do you think he is still a he?)

Same as MB. I have my house bird clipped, obviously my avairy birds are not. I take Levi with me to work, in the car, sometimes shopping - I could never do that if he wasnt clipped. And yes it is very common for pet birds to be clipped.

I offer sprouts, seeds, millet and budgie starter. He is a bush budgie, would this make any difference. He is also the only one in the nest. I offer some vegies to the mum but she doesnt touch them, She only eats seed and sprouts.

I was actually looking at the seed bell packets last night. They are made out of "edible adhesive". Only Trill brand was made of honey and gelatine.

Okay I just figured it out by emailing the guy that made it. Its a Windows Vista program. But I dont understand what some of the varietys are. Such as A/P prefix. Also what does the line choice mean?

He has been on antibiotics for nearly 2 days now.... NOT HAPPY about being given them. He hates me at the moment. I cant think of what he will be like after a week. But JOY! the lump has gone down significantly
