  7. King quails can definitly fly. I have had some for years. I got them because I was told they keep the avairy floor clean. In my experience with quails this is not true, they dig up the seed like chooks and throw it around everywhere.
  8. I've never had a females cere go white/blue before. Mine are either very light brown or very dark brown.
  9. I used to have quails in the bottom of my avairy. Melbournebudgies is right, you need smaller wire because the babies get right through standard bird wire, or you could get tin and line the bottom sides with it. Also, if a quail gets scared it will fly directly up like a helicopter, so make sure their are no sharp things sticking out of the roof.
  10. okay so a double factor baby could come from 2 grey green normal parents? What would the chick be? A double factor grey green? Would it look any different to a normal grey green? Thankyou Ripbudgies.
  11. Hi Is double factor the same thing as 2 dark factors? Today I was looking at a picture of a dominant pied and it was called a double factor dominant pied, does that mean he had to be mauve or olive (2 dark factors)? What is double factor and how do you get it.
  12. The snakes come for my neighbours chooks and eventually they find their way into my yard. Thankfully they cant get into my avairy.
