  1. my budgie doesnt do that, but i have noticed some strange and repititive behaviour, every time we open the fly wire door next to it's cage, it stretches and when we cover it at night with a towel, it rings its bell, every night! its quite amuzing cause every time it does it my dog goes nuts, sometimes i think it is stirring him up :bluebudgie:
  2. Im thinking something frech like Piere or Rattatouie PS: It looks like a lovebird to me :S i dont no why probably because of the feathers
  3. i was on eterri's budgie talk website reading about the different sounds that budgies make, and Bing keeps on making the ACKACKACKACK! call, could this be male behaviour? or both male and female? thanks
  4. (Laughing out loud) at the picture of your daughter giving the finger that looks like alot of fun, i used to be into cars alot when i was younger
  5. congrats, it cant get much better than that getting it on your birthday :budgiedance:
  6. well today i did a few step ups in the cage to get him used to me for abit and then borught him out while he was nibbling on seed, he comes out and flys around and always lands on these photos up on a ledge in the corner of the room and chirps there? i dont understand why he does it? if he chirps like every 2 seconds like cheep.......cheep......cheeep........ is that good or is that an alarm? but i brought him down and put him on my shoulder but he is still quiet skittish and scared so yeh but he wasnt as hard to get out as yesterday and he didnt fly around as much as well
  7. would you care to elaborate on how you fixed itt little one?
  8. ive had Bing for 6 days now and today i decided to give out of cage time another try, but now he/she doesnt even want to come out of his/her cage, ive bribed him out with millet and i make it out but then after being out for like 15 seconds he just flys straight back into its cage, i dont want to have to resort to grabbing him to get him out, will he ever just want to come out and explore the outside room? also i never realised how much the budgie eats but he is always chomping down food like a good handful of seed every day is this normal? thanks
  9. "okay I'll Need Some Cutters, Some Hot Water And Some Fluffly Towels STAT! WELL DON'T JUST STAND THERE COME AND HELP ME!!!
  10. Bing has only been with me for 3 and a half days and he/she is grinding his/her beak alot is this because its comfortable and happy or some other health problem and it also makes these poof noises, almost like a fart either after eating millet or being on my finger, is that good? thanks
  11. hows Coco coming along Tam?
  12. yeh other than that hes fine although ive heard him sneeze a few times but hes really starting to explore but he still doesnt really pay much attention to me nor have i seen him eat from his seed bowl or water bowl but other than that everything is good
  13. first join with photobucket (www.photobucket.com) then upload your pics. then you go down to the photobucket pictures after you have uploaded them and there a 3 choices... Email, Html and image, select image and it should copy itself, then go back to the budgie breeders site and click reply and copy and paste the image code into the reply, it should be something like this code... www.photobucket.com/dkajd. or something like that, hope this helps PS. Congrats on your puppy! cant wait to see the pics!
  14. i dont know any better way to put this but... Bing has been picking at his bum with his beak... i know that sounds wierd but he is preening around the area... he has got dirty brown feathers under there because of the stress of coming home but i just dont want him to get ill because he is eating his dropping... also hes rustling his feathers about every 45 seconds or so constantly and preening like theres no tommorow... but he has percked up since he came home and is exploring places in his cage, like his swing perch he likes that alot now but unfortuanatly he hasnt touched any of his toys to my knowledge... oh and if they make like a puff sound like a fart is that good or bad? thanks for listening to all my bickering
  15. sorry for your loss Rainbow unfortunatly i dont know the name of the bird in my avatar as i got it off google sorry im sorry about Rainbow

  18. AMAZING I ACTUALLY SAW IT MOVE 2 CENTIMETRES i am very happy i think he starting to adjust to his new home i fed him/her some millet and put it on the cage wall and it started moving closer to the millet and stoppedamazing update! my brother just informed me that my budgie was chirping!!! like every 2-3 seconds it was letting out a cheep.... cheep. is that a good chirp or a bad chirp? either way im very happy!
  19. hehe and mine could be anything cause it doesnt do ANYTHING!!! (Laughing out loud)
  20. (Laughing out loud) okay thanks for the reassurance maesie i just find it so awkward that it doesnt chirp away like they are made to do, i thought it would chirp like crazy because its so scared!
  21. yes well i think i kinda overfed it some millet hehe and i was slowly moving the millet further away and putting my hand at its feet and then after about 2 minutes of holding my finger there my arm was getting dead so i pushed on his/her belly and he/she hopeed on for about 4 seconds then i put him/her back down and gave him/her some more millet and then left it for about 5 minutes and tried again and this time he/she would hop off! i dont no whether it was scared or not but i was slowly moving my finger around the cage with it on my finger and then left my finger next to the perch and he/she didnt get off! the strange thing is though that i have never seen it move its feet when im there or just watching it, when i offer it some millet it moves away abit until it realises that im giving it millet and it eats form me but it is very cautious... it will look at me then at the millet then hesitate to take another bite then quickly lunges for it and chomps away for a bit and does it again... but i hang it on the cage bars next to the perch and it doesnt eat it? its soo wierd... ive never heard it chirp except for clicking its tounge twice... and it moves its beak around likes its trying to chirp but nothing comes out... its poos are getting solid so i think it is becoming less stressed but is still scared to do aynthing when i am around and also when im not around... i put it too sleep last night (put a blanket over its cage... not killed it (Laughing out loud) ) and when i uncovered it again today it was in the same spot hadn't moved an inch! its just very wierd.. Elly did Pretty move around?? at all? PS. I have not taken it out of it's cage yet
  22. well i would if i could but the tree is like 30 metres high i will go and see if there are any low braches and see if i can reach it thanks so do i still soak it for 5 minutes?
  23. hi, if i take some eucalyptus leaves that have just fallen off the tree and soak them in hot water for say 5 minutes is that safe to feed my budgie? will it be harmful in any way to it? thanks
  24. does your budgie actually chirp and make noises and move around in its cage while you are there? mine has been here for two days now and all it does is sit there looking at you ive only heard it click its tounge twice and i can feed it millet... but today i managed to get him on my finger a few times and he didnt seemed stressed at all... in fact he didnt even try to get away i was very happy! so i hope you enjoy your budgie as much as i am enjoying mine except for the fact that it doesnt move or talk or anything (Laughing out loud)
