  2. He probably will eventually when you remove the bell
  3. My niece is exactly like Benjamin. She needs to be held by her Mum all the time and can't be left if she wants to pee or take a shower. I have baby sat her several times now. The first, I had to call my sister to come home as she was hysterical for over an hour, the second time she was in bed... but she decided to do a poo, so I had to change her. She was VERY unimpressed when I went up to get her. She was hysterical, but I managed to change her and even got her back to bed (in just over an hour). I was very proud of that!!! The last time I babysat with Mum and Dad. She was again hysterical when my sister and her hubby left, but she settled down in about 10 minutes. She had her moments (especially when we had to change her nappy!), but in the 5 hours we looked after her, she was pretty good. I think it's an age thing and I do believe she'll grow out of it... as will Benjamin. He is a sweetie and as I said before, I'm glad things are going well

Awsome Neat!!! but I hate roller doors. They always get stuff caught in the groove and always end up getting stuck. Great size though... imagine all the budgies you could fit in there!

It's nice when you have someone you can trust 110% with your birds and their health. I look forward to getting to know you both and sharing in your journey

YES!!! I was working in a wholesale plant nursery and lets just say... it wasn't the safest environment!!! Well, the owner had a powerpoint near a hose connection and I was watering and... Yeah... and what makes it worse, was that the **** of a boss had the nerve to be cross at me for having time off!!! Are you kidding me!!! Do you work full time?
  15. Excellent!!! Just keep at it mate
  16. Hi and welcome!!! He has found you for a reason ... The wing clipping... do a search in our FAQ's (top right hand side) This will give you the run down... basically it's up to you. Clipping the wings makes taming eaiser, is eaiser to get them back into their cages and always clip both wings. If you clip one they are uneven and this often causes injuries as they are off balance. You DON'T have to clip wings. It is totally up to you. Your best bet would be to read up on as much info as possible and then make an informed decission. Good luck and I look forward to following your journey. maesie xo P.S. Don't be ashamed of asking lots of questions!!! That is why we are here and are more then happy to help you out

  19. Great post Norm. I had a similar situation in my last clutch. I think it was the middle chick of 5 and it was under 10 days old. It had a small air pocket in the top corner of its crop. I tried to lightly press it out, but not wanted to cause damage, I didn't do it hard enough, and therefor nothing changed. Over the next few days, the amout of air slightly increased and decreased. It was all gone in a matter of days, and all was fine after that. None of the other chicks had this problem and it never came back.
  20. Sweet Boys. Good luck with your taming. I'm about to start taming some inside budgies as well, but mine are about 6 weeks old
  21. Me too :hap: The melamine units are good as they are on castors and I can move them around to clean or rearrange the room ... and a change is 'nearly' as good as a holiday! So you can move things around and you have a new room. Love it!
  22. Good work! I love power tools so much . I can't wait for the photos.
  23. A vet...
  24. Hahaha, haven't you trained them to do that yet. lol... nope, but one of them decided it would be fun to tip the water bowl over and down the side of the cage... They have also taken to sitting in their seed tray and eating. When I checked on them before, I could only see two budgies... I was a little worried and then realised they were packed in on top of each other like sardines... :hap:
