My Birds Keep Getting Sick.
put the dead bird in a number of sealed plastic bags and keep it in the fridge until you visit the vet. They may want to autopsy.

My Birds Keep Getting Sick.
If the vet wasn't an avian vet that i can bet they just gave basic antibiotics. Your best bet is to get to an avian vet and they will do some tests and give you the appropriate medication. Mega and Canker can not be treated with antibiotics.

Smoke From Very Nearby Fire
There is probably not a lot you can do. If its just a bush fire and not burning man made materials, than it should be okay just to keep yourselves and Coco inside like you have done. Stay safe!

Budgie Tunes! Does Your Budgie React To Certain Songs?
Mine love noise too - my place is always noisy, and when it has its rare moments of quiet the birds fill it in with their songs and chatter. I dont get to play a lot of music out loud, but they hear the kids music and tv most of the day :fear

Playgrounds For Birds
Because often they are made from toxic metal such as zink plated or copper. Stainless steel is recommended for bells, but its best not to have shiny toys anyway as it can distract the birds from bonding to you.

New Member : Advice Needed
I agree its often an exercise thing. They do it once or twice a day for about a minute - like cats and dogs when they have their crazy bursts of energy. If its lasts longer than a few minutes than it could be stress related.

Help Please
I am so sorry to hear you are having troubles I don't have personal experience with cysts but i believe its genetic and there is not much that can be done about them as they keep coming back and getting worse. Best not to breed that pair or their babies again.

I agree with Kaz, don't feel disheartened. Girls are just as lovely as the boys, they just tend to be a little quieter and don't (normally) mimic speech.

Crop?
Yes i do JB Here is a picture of a baby with nothing in its crop - sadly this chick had splayed legs and was rejected by the parents and has since perished :party0011: An empty crop is not all that common as normally a parent will feed very soon after the crop empties. You can see the crop is like a deflated balloon of skin on the neck. Added to FAQ - Baby Budgie Crop and What it Should Look Like, Under Breeding along with the Picture above too loaded to BBC files

Advice Please!
I clip my own birds wings - budgies and tiels. It only takes a second each side and doesnt cause any pain if done with VERY sharp scissors. If the scissors are dull then the feathers will bend rather than cut and you dont want that. Make sure who ever clips Charley's wings that they do both sides and they do not leave the long primary flights as they will get caught in the cage bars etc. Charley is displaying what happens to budiges if they get their wings clipped before they learn how to fly properly. Good luck and i hope you can find a good vet or breeder to clip his wings if you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself.

Crop?
The crop is a sack where the birds food is stored before it is processed by the gizzard. All birds have a crop and its above the brestbone, just below the neck ADDED to the FAQ, and I also used your photo and uploaded to BBC
