I have just spent the last 1 1/2 hours on the phone to Centrelink (social security for non Australians) Our oldest son will turn 16 in September and he will have to apply for a Disability Support Pension as he has moderate to severe Cerebral Palsy and is totally dependent on us for everyday living. They sent me about 40 pages to fill in and it says on the back that he has to sign the form, this is why I rang them as he can't even hold a pen let alone write anything I wanted to know what happens? Do I sign for him or what. I was put through to about 8 different departments and then I was told that we would have to apply for Power Of Attorney for him so that we can sign. I asked them how I did that but they didn't know. Does anybody know how I would go about getting Power Of Attorney??

I've not seen it before but maybe it's worth having on hand.

This is why I try to stay away from pet shops that have birds, although I have seen a lot of so called professional breeders (in it for the money more like it) with some really crappy / sick looking birds.

Yes that's the one, that's what we used. Not a kitty litter scoop, just sweep the bottom of the avairy once a week and remove all the droppings etc and top up the sand when needed. It's great, we laid it on top of pavers. This is an old photo of when we were setting up our first avairy.

I checked the completed listing as well MB, I bought some other stuff of him so I'll have to go through my feedback and find his name, probably the easiest way to go. Not in any hurry as our finches have to be moved in with the canaries and their avairy isn't finished yet.......budgies come first

I have cleaned sand on the bottom of our avairies and it is very easy to keep clean and the budgies love to forage around in it on the floor.

If you put a Albino with a Lutino you will get very small chicks, can't remember why though.

I saw yellow plastic boxes like those on ebay but it said suitable for finches or canaries. Did your supplier know you wanted to use them for budgies? Just looked and can't find them now they must have all been sold, I was going to get some for our finches.

Eww.....that reminds me of when my grandfather used to cut the chooks heads off and is they escaped from his hold they would be running around the yard with no heads until they dropped....gross

Yes that is my understanding. I got my 2 from a breeder that was colony breeding and he didn't know who the parents were.
