What Is A Df Spangle?
Liv she/he still looks ino... Ino's can have iris rings, but their eyes are red instead of black. That one seems quite pink around the eye and on the feet still. Double factor is used to explain what happens to a bird when 2 of the same gene alter the appearance. When crossing some genes with another of the same gene double factors can be created. These double factors change the look of the gene. E.g. DF dominant pieds, spangle and Yf1 all change when the gene is doubled. For every other kind of gene having two of them mix together changes nothing.

Tcb Pairing Outcome!
Well after deciding to pair up my Large Lutino hen (07 rung) to my medium sized TCB cock (unrung) and hoping for the best, we've had some success From the outcomes we've worked out my TCB cock is split to Ino. Both parents are split to blue apparently also. After plucking their vent and crossing our fingers to hope for the best we had 5 eggs laid. All five were fertile although one was addled in it's early stages. Four chicks hatched out. Two normal dark eyed chicks first, then two red eyed. The fourth chick i didn't think would make it out of it's egg. Over the last 4-5 days of it's incubation the air sack at one end of the egg was taking up well over half of the eggs interior space. I thought it would surely dry up and become a DIS. On the last day of it's incubation it didn't hatch in the morning. I checked the egg and found it chirping. In my experience with hatching chicks out when in need if they've been chirping for a few hours they're capable of coming out. Any earlier and it's too early. Luckily for me I was spot on time and got it out fit and healthy :dbb1: Well according to the information on Daz' website about TCB pairings these are the outcomes Clearbody / Ino cock × Ino hen = 25% Clearbody / Ino cocks 25% Ino cocks 25% Clearbody hens 25% Ino hens So it looks like we have two TCB's and 2 ino's One TCB is Blue, the other Green. The Ino's are too young to tell yet. - Hen ( This photo doesn't do her justice. She's a very large bird.) - Cock - Chick 1 who hatched ( Blue TCB) - Chick 1 again - Chick 2 to hatch ( Green TCB) - Chick 3 to hatch (Ino) - Chick 4 to hatch (another ino)

Why Are You Breeding
I breed because i enjoy seeing the beautiful mutations and birds you can produce along with providing me hours of entertainment of just sitting out there watching them. For all those who don't get kept, from a young age i will tame them up so they can become good pets Even if they're not the "prettiest" things out i know they go on to bigger and better things! Just the thrill and excitment of breeding these birds is what does it, the ones who get re-homed to excited kids or as a little old lady's companion is an added bonus.

Genuine Inos V Artificially Created Iinos
Ah my bad, got mixed up. yes it is a way Her colours light because she's fallow. They're par -no and their body colour is only strongest on their rump. That mixed in with the pied gene that also makes it patchy will be why she shows very little.

Genuine Inos V Artificially Created Iinos
I agree with norm... a very dirty, but clearly distinguishable dom pied fallow. Probably spangled also. What were the parents? No, DF spanles have no markings. So when fallow would be mixed with the df spangle gene your bird would look the equivelant of an ino... yours still has markings and body colour so is only a single factor spangle pied. Spangle cross spangle doesn't produce 100% df's.

I don't have a picture of the quails with him as they usually sleep by the door and it's night time, but i do have one with my old blind hen agatha with him It's not the best picture as it's taken from outside the aviary but you can see his big fluffy feet :hap: See the big fluffy feet and tail... You can't see much of pancakes as the picture was taken more of agatha.

Spike
He's still as gorgeous as when you first got him... I like the play gym idea too, it's like the ones for kids

4 Legged Competition Winner (1st Winner Announced)
Thanks Elly Well his name is Pancakes. He's a netherland dwarf x mini lop. In this photo he was 6 weeks old and tiny!!!! he's now grown into a nice huge rabbit with floppy ears... (so much for dwarfism) My partner and I got him from a local pet shop to be a companion for my 10 yr old dwarf x rabbit named eoules :hap: Pancakes and eoules live at the bottom of my aviary but have free range of my backyard now also. They don't bother the dogs one bit and love eating the over grown grass on the unused garden side :hap: During the night my quails and disabled birds cuddle up to them for warmth - tiny itty bitty pancakes - pancakes now in the same persons hands LOL!
