Precious, Fonz And Phat Tony, Again!
Well i thought everyone would like an update on my first show chicks bred... AGAIN here's how they look now, pretty spunky if you ask me Some of their other topics: http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....ic=18818&hl http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....ic=18301&hl http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....ic=19837&hl And now - The fonz! - And again, she's a very long big bird this one, just like her mummy - Phat tony, struggling to fit under the bird feeder - fllirting with his boy friend (yes his scaley face is being treated) - Precious, for some reason, by far my favourite! - Having a nap in the sun! I'll get some pictures of Frodo tomorrow, none of his turned out today, although these are all still pretty poor quality also

Budgies And Ringnecks
unless raised together and socialised from a young age birds of different species should not be mixed together. There is a few exceptions aswell as some natives species which can be mixed, but aviary birds from different continents, species and size would be a big no no in my book

Spangle That Was Born With Plum Eyes
Welcome

Spangle That Was Born With Plum Eyes
DF spangles as a rule should be all white and all yellow, however they get plumage faults. Suffision is what you can see, which is where body colour is washing over the base colour when it shouldn't be. The same happens with Ino's

Possible Egg Binding
Could be egg binding, how does her vent look, if egg bound she'd be swollen and sore and not able to get around well, if not i'd say cold weather is taking it's toll on her

Violet Birds-
I'd be interested to see these birds also. It doesn't sound normal
-
Spangle That Was Born With Plum Eyes
Plum eyes come from Recessives, DEC's, DF spangles and cinnamons, given the parents the most likely of these via genetics and visually is DF spangle. i have a picture of my badly suffused YF2 DF spangle but my comp won't let me upload it at the moment
-
Violet Birds-
Well in that case it's not normal for them to have such a light body colouring.
-
Violet Birds-
Fallows naturally have diluted out body colour, to tell if she's a true violet take a picture of her rump, it should be violet
-
Violet Birds-
Well you can get basically visual violet of all types Sky visual, cobalt visual and Mauve visual, then you get birds that carry it but aren't visually it, i'll get some photo's of all of these to show you
-
Violet Birds-
Due to her being fallow it washes alot of the colour out. I have a violet fallow who i'll get some pictures of for ya

Medicated Water
Oh Lorikeets LOVE baths, for some reason mine love them early mornings, when it's coldest... They have a HUGE water dish for them and are now fed wet mix as when fed dry they soiled their water too quickly and ended up bathing in food matter http://s236.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/1l...nt=P5070675.flv http://s236.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/1l...nt=P5070674.flv Two cute video's of my Lori's Kiki and Lala, I couldn't find the one of them bathing inthe prinklers on the hibiscus tree Must've never been uploaded and gone with the Harddrive, or Tracy still has a copy

Spangle That Was Born With Plum Eyes
It's a DF spangle chick. I also recently found out that they're born with plum eyes, before that i had no idea. A few of the DF spangles i got from mars and his partner have bad suffision and all came out with plum eyes, I presumed they were cinnamons.

Medicated Water
No, idea My waterers are rabbit dripper bottles, so no chance there unless they do it on the ground one
