  1. Even by those photo's I say ones a hen ones a cock, by the sounds of one of their behaviour that would be correct
  2. You go by colour tone James, not intensity... As the intensity can be subjected by other mutations e.g. cinnamon In the budgie world there's three levels of colours Sky, cobalt and Mauve For green it is light green, dark green and olive
  3. When I was very little I used to tell my mum i wanted to be a "black witch doctor" She still picks on me for it today, my defence is I was too little to think rationally then
  4. I agree with liv, top one looks nice and pink so seems more boy like, where as bottom seems to be a girl. Mind you the top ones not as bulbus and round as cocks cere's usually are, but who knows, going by colour it seems male.
  5. I wanted to be a vet, that's now changed to an equine specialist
  6. Haha the way it should be eh equal shares
  7. Nice, he's "smexy" for a bird LOL!

There's many people on here who're expert signature makers, I suggest you contact Neat, she's very sought after and helpful
  9. She's slightly washed out due to the cinnamon mutation as it can wash them out or leave them normal :hap:
  10. Yep I'm settled in for the long yards! Leroy(my sulfue) is meant to live over 100 for average life span and my cocky is meant to be over 80ish My neice has already be set inline for taking them both on :hap:
  11. he's gorgeous
  12. Oh lovely, you're sooooo lucky to be able to breed such majestic cocky's, i mean i own a galah and a sulfur, but being able to breed those two would be a whole other experience.... Given that cocky's live to a large amount of years when do they mature to be old enough to breed and up until when? How old are your pair/s?
  13. Front, backs, underneaths and showing clearly would be best...
  14. Photo's are best of your birds to help you. By the sounds of what you own a totally white bird will not be acheivable from these mutations. Fruit is not an essential food, leafy greens are better (e.g. bok choy and so on) and grated carrots, crushed eggs... During breeding Seed and water should be made avaliable at all times in ample supplies and greens frequently. Supplements such as calcium are also an essential. There's alot more to breeding than just feeding the birds and hoping for the best, if you do it this way you're setting yourself up to be knocked down and the birds to come to harm.
  15. It's only possible if the yellow female is split to blue. By white do you mean white and blue? or pure white... White an blue is alot easier to create in numerous mutations than Pure white Have you read up on breeding info and so on, to make sure you're totally prepared before beginning to breed? Cage, vet funds, knowledge, medicines, diet etc?
  16. Haha nopes, not yet, luckily although i'd LOVE a fat rabbit, it would be a lovely change from energetic lean ones LOL
  17. I agree, girl I'm in Perth also, so if you need a hand taming her or if you'd like her wings clipped to help you I'm not far away probably (unless you're North of the river) hehe
  18. Sorry to hear this Jenene Sometimes when you lose a one day old it doesn't seem significant, but when you've put in alot of effort from the get go and become attach to it it definatly hurts
  19. Oh wow gorgeous! Will you be handraising this clutch also? IF i ever get another Cocky (since leroy is sexist and doesn't like women) I want a mitchell, you're definatly the woman to buy seeing how much love care and attention you give them
  20. Mice have tiny holes the size of a 10-20c coin... It would have to be a rat, although mine didn't dig into my aviary they did nest in a pile of foliage litter out back, they like to keep their body touching something at any one time, hence why they scurry along walls and so on. If a rat head can fit through the hole, then so can it's body, so i'd say you're facing rats... Get an exterminator out like I did, worked a treat
  21. I agree, cobalt dom pied cinnamon opaline
  22. both fairly young birds around 6 months old, but still mighty aodrable :budgiedance: None of the older birds harass anything on the ground, seems to be only the young ones I missed a great photo opportunity the other day a weero was sitting on a perch and a young budgie decided to hang off his tail underneath him making the weero speard his wings out wide and look down with a "WHAT THE" look, would've made a lovely picture
  23. Hi and welcome to the forums I have a slight inkling that he may be a she :budgiedance: Any better Cere photo's?

Nesting site was ripped up last week and sent to the tip, only other place is the roof, which this one was vacating on it's death bed, so I think we're almost all clear now
