okay so my breeding room will be finished on the weekend so next week I am going to put down the following four pairs and see what I get out of them. If anyone thinks I should switch them around then let me know also idea on what the babies will look like then please have a stab in the dark for me. Pair one HeMan and SheRa Pair Two Mozzie and Fiji Pair three Blue and Flame I am also thinking of putting Harley and Storm back in together She has smashed eggs in the past but Harley seems to love her so I hope that given a month in the avairy she may be more settled and will not smash them this time around. So thoughts questions comments ideas would be great. Oh and the reason for pairing them like this is this is how they have paired up in the aviary so figure for my first round I will let nature take it's course with pairing but if you think it would be better to pair them up another way let me know.

I will also put my hand up to Budgie sit if you need.

You could always call your vet and ask for the trestment no need to take the bird in. I just call my vet and say that I am out could he supply me with another bottle and it cost me about $5 - $10 a bottle wil last you ages. Some feed stores / pet stores do also have it in stock so check with them if you can't find a breeder.

Oh okay I was getting worried there for a min as Mozzie my green girl is suppose to be a bush budgie and she is in the avairy with everyone else. i was worried for a fighting thing or a size thing.

LOL I was worried you would not like her cause she is not BRIGHT but she is really pretty and has a good size on her. Kaz says she may be wasted on Charlie but you can always give them a go and then change her out with something else to see about getting some violets. Also I know you have said that liked the Bush Budgie so when i was offered this pair i thought you might like them as well. Strange little things that they are. Missylu, yes you are right, it is not recommended to put a crested to a crested. However she is crest breed which means that one or both of her parents are crested so she should carry the gene she may not however. If you put a crest breed to a crested you increse your chances to get a crested chick.

So I am getting mb a wedding gift with a difference. She already knows she is getting "Charlie" I was looking for a crest breed spangle hen as his girlfriend however could not find one. So instead I found this crest breed hen Now she has a navey tail which means that "she is an olive and that means split blue as olives are bred from violet green inheritance. " (quote thanks to Kaz) As well as the pair you see above I am also picked up this pair A pair of the orginal Bush Budgies.... they are soooo cute and small and but little little babies! Anyway MB happy wedding, I hope that your OH likes your wedding gift as well or should I buy his something electric so he does not notice that you ended up with another 4 birds! We use to do this in the horse feed shed! Old idea and very effective!

They are all fine... seems that you might be getting more then you bargined for What do you mean by winning those breeding boxes? I have not used them as I wam waiting for my room to be finished and september to role around that way everyone will be off meds and give them a few weeks and then i will start putting pairs down.
