I agrre with Darryl, I have my breeding cages facing each other with plenty of noise from the other birds and I have bred 130 since march til now with 14 breeding cages I had a couple of extra cages but weren't really used. More for holding the birds.

It is not slways best to buy to some things ib bulk becaus eof their use by date. I made the mineral blocks took me half an hour at tops so easy you should give it a go. I made enough for my whole breeding season and large ones for the aviary I buy my cuttlefish in bulk plus my sons post it over to me from WA. I also I buy my millet spray in bulk

Genetics is full on as I have 2 grey green birds down one cinnamon the hen and the cock split but by their pedigree their is no blue great great grandparents and that was on the fathers side but I have 2 nest out of them and mostly gray greens but I got a grey and 2 cobalts.

I bought long hard plastic planter bottoms, they are about 12inch long and about 6inch wide I put them in the middle of my wire cages away from the perches and I sit their seed and veges on them. I have also bpought big sqaure too. They all work well. They have a lip of about an inch.
