Can anyone help me with what i can do to stop a Breeding Hen to stop eating the eggs she is laying. Any help would be appreciated. Wayne

okay, Question for you.... I have a pair of birds, every day in the morning i go out there they are doing it.. But i never see any eggs, They have been paired up for a while now and all ive seen is one egg and that got broken. Could it be she is laying and eating the eggs, she is not Egg Bound as i have checked her.

In this case Dean the hole is at the opposite end, had no troubles in this box before.

Nest Box is definitely level as i have bred many babies in there. Checked box this morning 1st Egg has hatched, but its really the 4th Egg. First three Eggs haven't hatched. Fingers crossed the last 2 eggs hatch. Thanks for the advice.

Hi I have a pair of Budgies who are breeding at the moment. The Hen is sitting on 6 eggs, all are fertile but she is not using the concave in the box instead she is using the corner of the box. Will this cause the eggs not to hatch? How do i make her sit on her eggs using the concave? Thanks

Yes one patch is blue and the other patch is white. So are you saying its carrying the Pied gene, does that mean its double factor, as it is a Dominant Pied bird?

I have a Baby Dominant Pied Budgie born to a Normal Green cock and a Dominant Hen. On Appearance, their cheek's are different colours. One side is blue the other is i cant remember. Is this common? What does it mean? Would love feedback please. Cant post a picture just yet. Wayne

I had a young budgie born ealrier this year. There was a clutch of 4 babies and this one turned out to have funny feet, Its a Cremino Budgie, beautiful bird, but can not sit upright like other birds. Is there anything special i should do with this bird?

I read this as "out of a clearbody hen", so assumed the TCB is the hen and the normal is the cock. TCB hen x normal cock = 50% normal/clearbody cocks (look normal but split clearbody) 50% normal hens (so any girls are definitely normal, and any boys are definitely split) OR if he is hiding something, the shifty fellow - TCB hen x normal/clearbody cock= 25% normal/clearbody cocks (look normal but split clearbody) 25% clearbody cocks 25% clearbody hens 25% normal hens (so clearbodies are clearbodies, normal looking girls are normal, and normal looking boys are definitely split - no straight normal boys)

I hope a few of you nice people can help me with the following: Dominant Budgies: I have been breeding Dominant Pied birds to Normals and i have been getting a few in each clutch. Am i doing the right things? Should i be breeding Dominant Pieds with other Dominant Pieds or just Normals? DO normals hatched from a Dominant Pied carry and Dominant Pied genes? Lately i have had a few babies that have been bred from 1 Dominant Bird and 1 Normal and they have a dot on their head does this mean anything? Danish Pieds What are the best ways to breed to get Danish Pieds. I have kept a few young this season split to a Danish Hen and a Normal, are these now known as Split Danish and if pout with other Split Danish birds or Danish birds i will get Danish young? One final question i bred a baby out of a Clearbody to a normal Olive. It has turned out to be Green/Blue in colour, will this bird carry the Clear Body Gene? Thanks for your help.

At approx 8:55pm a Earth Tremor went through my house here in Werribee Victoria, Im 30 mins from melbourne. Did anyone else feel it? It was scary. Just heard reports of it being felt in the Dandenongs, Eastern Melbourne and Metro Melb.

Does anybody have a list of what coloured club rings belong to which year. I find it alot easier with my birds looking at the colours of their rings to see what year they are. Would like to go back to 2003 and forward as long as you can. Thanks

Hi, My sister and I want to start trying to breed TCB. We have a few to start off with. Can you tell me how we breed to get TCB's, DO you put them with normals to get splits or do you need to put 2 x TCB's together? Any help appreciated..

There are no more eggs to hatch, there were 6 in total and 6 hatched. I have pairs with babies at different stages. I have a few pairs with small babies so i might try and foster the 3 smallest babies out. If i was to fister the larger babies out and i add them to a nest that has say 2 babies and then i add a third wont the foster parents know there is an extra baby in there?

I've always fistered the younger birds out when i have large clutches becasue i find other birds except the smaller babies easier. Can you guys recommend how i foster larger birds out, should it be to a pair that has no eggs, a pair that already have other babies etc. Any advice would be great.
