With Pet breeding it is what you want mate... I love the blues, Violets greys so i pair mine to get those - I am not a fan of green and i am sure if you are reading my post you'd know that by now LOL ... okay so Spangles are pretty What is your Violet hen????!!! If you want green then breed with a green ( do you know if he is green or /blue ( split to blue) even a yellow hen will produce Green babies ( unless he is / different story) ... Breed him to what you have that is of age ... AND i am very Happy to see that you are not breeding under the recommended age :D ... Go with the Violet hen, if they are ready ... Good luck. Breeding is a wonderful experience !!! I look forward to reading all about it

okay, Carrotts and Bread rolls I grate, Spinish I cut the Green leaves off and slice them Or if i am lazy I tear them same as Bok choy and other leafy greens.. Brocoli I either cut the seeds off ( slice the tips off ) or i break them in to the florettes ( Tree bits) .... Basically if it is hard I grate if it is soft I don't ... i couldn't imagain a budgie eating chucky hard food, so that is why i do it this way - But waht ever is easiest on you
