Great video and pics Kaz.Wonderful to see such healthy birds.My daughters budgie still won'ttouch his greens after trying for a year now. Naughty,cheeky budgie he is.All the rest do,even the aviary budgies,guess we will just keep trying. (Laughing out loud)

My grey hen Rocky has one of those ceres that looks whitish blue and was like that for about two years before she ever went tan/brown. She was suppose to be a boy.(Laughing out loud)

Was thinking the same thing Nerwen.Will take the eggs out and put a cover over so that she can't get back in.I am thinking that she has layed eggs before as I found two eggs cracked on the floor of the aviary some months ago when I first took out the nesting boxes. Thanks for the advice.

I wathced the budgies last night and have noticed that it is not Aussie who has been matin with her it's Simon.Do you think she will keep laying if I take the eggs away?

One of my budgies Snowflake has a tumor on her front and it is too big to remove.Well I have been keeping an I on her lately thinking that her time might be up soon as it has grown quite a bit lately.She is a very old budgie at over 8 years,not quite sure on her age.Anyway when we got home today my son went out to say hello to the budgies and he came in all quiet."mum I think snowflake has died,she is laying in the seed container".So I talked to him about her tumor etc and that I would go and have a look. The funniest thing..........out she popped all pleased with herself and looking down at me."Oh snowflake you scared us" I said.So I took the seed container down to fill it and there were two little eggs. (Laughing out loud) She must have layed one yesterday when I wasn't well with my sore party head((Laughing out loud)) and one today. I took all the nesting boxes out as I didn't want them to breed and to have a rest.Snowflake has other plans obviously. I think she layed in here too because Fluro,who is the bossy female is too fat to get in there.I don't know wether to leave her nest in there or not. I suppose they will always find a way to populate the world!!!!!!!!! Snowflake was Pie and Sonrisa's mum and Aussie and her are still very much in love.I also thought that the stress of breeding would hurt her but she must think different to me.I haven't got a breeding cage to put her in either. :budgiedance:

Bluebelle is absolutely beautiful.I thinks its great what you did in the aviary,I also have a budgie hat can't fly in my aviary and she does really well.Like you I put things in for her to climb and make sure she can get to all the food and water.
