This week I have picked the older of the 2 babies off the aviary floor after it decided that maybe it would try to leave the nest, only it can't really fly. I'm not sure if it can eat by itself or not. Baby 2 decided to leave the nest today as well however this little one can fly and i found it clinging to the aviary wire. I caught it and it cuddled into me and wouldn't get off me! It was so cute and cuddly. I then returned it to the nest box along with its sibling. Would they be okay to take from the parents now or should I leave them for a few more days. I am going to tame baby 2 (yellow face grey spangle) can I bring it indoors now? If I do how will baby 1 cope alone?

If you are really worried take him to a vet asap. If nothing else it will put your mind at rest.

Today out in the aviary I was checking the bubs and giving the birds the veges when I heard the angry budgie noise coming from the nest box!! I looked in the door and sure enough the little blue was honnking his heart out wanting corner box space. He is just as grumpy and Honky as the dad. (Thats why honks is called honks) The grumpy runs in the family!!! Like father like son.........I think

I love that idea Clouds!! My Pa's name was Jack. That suits him perfect!! We don't have the Apple Jack thingys you were talking about. What are they? I went to Hawaii a couple of years ago now and I fell in love with peanut butter cups!!!! We can't get them over here. I just love USA lollies!!!

They are reallly great names, clouds!! Violet - King Budgie!!! I am going to call the yellow face blue SkyeBlu I can't call the olive, olive cos I already have an Oliver. I will have to think about that a bit more. And Pickles it is. Thanks for the great names.

They try to climb out of the container so I had to hold them. I will get some better pics over the weekend.

Here are the parents. Paris Honks This is not a good picture but you get the idea that he is white. He also has a small blue tinge to one shoulder. Baby 1 This bub is so wriggly this was THE only clear picture I could get of it. Baby 2 Has yellow face and a grey body. The wings and tail also have yellow and spangle markings I think I am going to tame this little one. It seems to be very snuggly and very cute. I just love the colouring too What sexes do you think the bubs are? What mutation is baby 2? Thank you.

Here are 6 new budgies I got on Tuesday. They are all from a breeder where I got alot of my other budgies. I don't have names for all of them yet so some suggestions would be great. I think they are pretty. Violet boy dom? pied girl Jubilee even tho she has a special foot she has raised some beautiful babies in the past and was a great mum. double factor spangle? Sherbie boy or girl? olive green cinnamon boy spangle what? yellow face blue girl So have I got their mutations nearly correct?

I tried to get a few pics of the little farts but they a sooooo wriggly they made my job tough. Here a all the pics I took. Can anyone suggest what they might be. Also baby 2 looks like it has a yellow tinge on its head, but not sure you can see properly in the photo. This is baby 1.
