I don't know her background at all. It's sad because she can't perch properly now without her toes/nails. All the avairy budgies attacked her when I put her in she was a bleeding mess, but she is looking really good now, she's in breeding condition so I thought I might breed her with Seymour, what colours and types would I get?

I like Meygen and Bella So is Seymour a sky blue greywing aswell. This is Toes (she's missing a few and is also missing her nails). She has red eyes and cinnimon markings. Again Type?

This is Seymour's daughter (names please, she hasn't got one yet) Seymours wings are the same. And yes Seymour and his daughter's throat spots are and have always been like that.

Here is Walford's brother Seymour . He's a spangle of some sort right? His wings are white, with light grey bits.

I have know idea about the types of all my budgies so I'm going to put one up now and then. This is Walford, he is the son of Moss (died) and Berry. Berry is the same colour and type (i think) as Nerwen's Berry, but Moss died before I could get a picture Anyway I would love some help.

Beautiful birdies I heard that pink/red budgies are impossiable because red is a prime colour and has never been seen on budgies. Anyone who is handy with computers, it would be great to see a picture inhanced so a budgie was red.

I had given up hope on Polly and Basil. It had been 30 days since their last egg was laid, and I promised to myself that this was the day I would throw the eggs out. I opened up the nest box and what did I see. Two beautiful tiny babies, I was shocked but very happy! I can't believe after thirty days the eggs still hatched. Does anyone know why the babies took so long to hatch I had given up hope? Is there something wrong with them, which means their not developing fast enough The parents have plenty of different foods plus calcium and iodine suplements. I want to start ringing my birds. Iv'e read alot on the actual procedure, but i want to know how I get ingraved rings and what to do. Also what is on a ring and I would like to know what everyone here says about the right way and when to ring a budgie.

Yesterday I went shopping with my mum. I got bored so I went to go check out the conditions of the pet shop near by(ready to complain, i hadn't been there before!). First let me say it was a perfect shop they had fresh paper in all the cages, a number of toys in each cage, clean food and water. Also they had a limit of 6 budgies per cage (different amounts for different birds)there was absolutley no over crowding here and all the birds looked in exellent condition. I was blown away, it is a great shop. I wandered around and found three beautiful males. I went straight to the girl at the desk and asked about where the birds came from, when the food/water was changed, what they did with sick bugies and so on. She told me that all the animals in the shop came from breeders and they didn't purchase animals without a vet check, food/water changed twice a day, cage cleaned once a day, more if needed, cages cleaned and disenfected once a week. She then went on to show me a set up out the back: a few cages and handmade brooders ( I checked out the design!)for sick birds. I was convinced, I ended up buying two of the birds. I'm not sure what type they are , but I think one is a Skyblue Opaline Spangle , they were both born last year. I'm thrilled to have them and quarentines begun, but I'm even more happy with the knowledge that there is a brilliant pet shop out there.

One of my females(Berry) had three males attending to her. There was the bird(Moss) she mated with, who she let feed the chick ocassionly. Her chosen mate Blue, who she liked very much And then there was my avairy nanny (Lost) he went around the whole avairy feeding chicks from all four nestboxes! Lost never fought with anyone, and not one of the parents cared if he went in their nest, even if there was dad, mum, a few chicks and Lost.

Trying to get a camera of my friend, should have some pics by the end of this week at the latest! I had a look at the chicks again today and the two oldest ones have their eyes open and they are pink! (like Marie's) So cute!!!!!!!!

Louis and Marie have three fat chirping chicks and today I have just noticed some yellow feathers on two of the chicks wings. Marie is filthy from feeding the chicks, but Louis is looking spotless, I have a feeling he is not a hands on sort of father My top breeding pairs (Basil and Polly) eggs should be hatching tommorow I'm keeping an ear out. Plus mum says she will buy me a new breeding cage for my birthday in November.

The hen (Marie) is yellow I have no idea what type. Louis is white, again no idea about type.
