Tonight I was amazed when I witnessed my baby budgie fly across the room, into it's cage.
Earlier today I had a treat (seed block) in front of my fish tank, with an area for the bird to sit and peck away till it's hearts content. Was doing so for an hour while I was here at the computer. It was chirping so I assume it was quite happy where it was while eating every now and again. At about the hour it flew across the room, and right next to me on some furniture. I think it must've gotten bored. I had to go out shortly after so I put it in it's cage.
Later on tonight I thought i'd put him back out as he seemed to like it. After about ten minutes, it flew from it's spot across the room, and landed on the side of it's cage. It worked it's way around to the front opening and jumped up on it's normal pearch. I thought this was amazing! It either wanted to play with it's toys, or just likes its home.
Anyone else have similar stories or words of advice? Thoughts?
