  1. Boris is 3 years, 3 months and 28 days old. But who's counting?
  2. Here you go Elly, your Boris fix. She laid a clutch of 4 eggs all of which are infertile. She will get her single person cage back and will come in for a visit either this weekend or the next. Such a shame her last clutch were infertile - the male is so handsome!
  3. lol yes, I also learned here that some people are photo addicts!! I've got one from August I'll post in the appropriate section for you.
  4. This is mine: http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=4694 Can't believe how things have changed and so many people have come and gone since then! That was when I thought Boris was a boy - blue cere - until someone here said Boris was a she. Forgotten I'd done alot of research on the white faced green. Must look round see if I've still got it. Pity I lost touch with the geneticist! Can't even remember her name now but she'd lent me her text book from uni which I remember copying heaps of info from. Gosh I hope I've still got it, will look on the weekend if time permits.
  5. I learned from this forum that my Boris is a girl not a boy budgie!
  6. Taken from last season - none have flowered yet. The following are all cactii: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kar...actusFlower.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kar...s21-10-2007.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kar...21-10-20071.jpg

  8. He's nice!
  9. whoa! great looking birds! Makes what I bought last week look like dogs!
  10. What a handsome bird! are you going to get a mate for him?
  11. Beautiful bird!
  12. ah Jen! It's great to see my melanistic spangle line didn't die with Daryl's! I had forgotten you'd got some off Daryl. I got bamboozled out of the last one of mine. Don't quite know how it happened. I'm so silly sometimes!
  13. Congratulations - I am sure the board will be even greater for the additional staff. It is good to have some more staff from overseas as well because the Aussie staff cannot - unfortunately lol! - be on 24/7 so the overseas help will be a fantastic support to the current administration.
  14. My Boris' first egg which she thought was nice to lay in my hand was streaked in blood. I've not had it happen with her since so think it was just a first egg thing. I've had the odd touch of blood on a hens egg but not much and not often.
  15. Best of luck with your plans. I hope you get a very happy and healthy child and I know he or she will be loved and get everything in life that makes life worthwhile: lots of love.
  16. haha Elly! not that anyone can notice with your post count! LOL not long until the 20 000 for you huh? I lost 8 months of membership too *cries* LOL!!!
  17. Congrats, just goes to show what happens when you eat drink and breathe budgies! I would've hit the 4000 mark ages ago if someone hadn't accidentally deleted all my posts between June 2005 and March 2006!
  18. Does anyone have information on how to do it? A video perhaps or detailed drawings? At how many days old should the chick be to ring it? Is there a standard on which leg to put it on? Does it have to be right side up when the bird is standing? If all goes well I could be ringing my first chick this weekend.
  19. I thought I had it back in August last year - my birds had it in January so that was one thing my doctor was looking at. Not a problem though, I only had double pneumonia - no psittacosis!
