Omelette's Babies
I put the youngest chick in the tub on the floor of the breeder cage with its siblings...............NASTY took exception to that and attacked the sister....blood on its head ( not serious ) and it bit NASTY back on the cere. NASTY was doing this in the nestbox too, and thats how she got her name. So I put NASTY in the kindie/holding cage..... NASTY injured sibling Here is an interesting sight..............the grey green cock is one of Omelette's sons by a previous clutch. He was in there recovering from an injury to his eye from some wire catching his eye in the aviary. So big brother ( half brother ) and NASTY sitting together Later in the day I put all the babies in the kindie cage

yep, that's the one. The cock bird is ancient and the 2 hens are disabled but I separated them out last year BEFORE doing the extensive treatment on my flock to get rid of the pasty bums syndrome. They never exhibited any ill effects but clearly they were carriers. What were they CARRYING ? Pasty bums is a symptom, what was the disease ? - Help! Cosmo Landed In Paint!
