  1. Really good news
  2. She looks fine to me Cameron apart from missing feathers. I would also put a warm lamp near the cage for her...she may have a little shock due to the mothers attacks.
  3. She looks like she has food in the crop to me and at six weeks old it should be eating. The dish is too high...........scatter seeds all over the floor around this baby and watch.
  4. How old is the chick ? How long do you think since it hasnt been fed ? Is it fully feathered ? Why isnt it eating on its own if at fledging age ?
  5. cabinet breeding or aviary ?
  6. Remove the Mum and watch to see if Dad will feed them.
  7. You are way to humble. You may have less chicks this year but you certainly have quality
  8. Amazing See you at the nationals next year babe............you are gonna get there.
  9. you think so kaz mmmmm okay i will see how they go was keeping for my pet line bar mabe two so well going to i port to get my birds Excitement Going to the airport to get your birds
  10. Too much.....a teaspoon to the litre.
  11. Love your photos and the one with the sunlight streaming through A great many of your babies are well able to grow on and be used for your stock birds for your future show breeding. Those chicks have something going on already in regards to great heads, masks and feather.
  12. Would love to see a photo of Marble if you can and tell us more about him in happier healthier times
  13. This is his father a Gary Armstrong cock His mother is a green opaline hen of Brett Woods who is also split fallow. His father is also the father of omelette's last two clutches.
  14. Looking good .............you have nice big breeding cages.
  15. Will do Daz :sadsorry: His mask is better than shows in that photo
  16. He is 6 months old and he is chatting up all the boys and girls in the aviary
  17. All babies have been out for a few days now and two are already in the kindie cage. Just this photo today as I thought it was rather CUTE
  18. Possibly split fallow too :bliss:
  19. Everyone is entitled to an opinion Reneeb........just as everyone has experiences to share that will vary. ............the fact remains we cannot generalise about anything.
  20. This young man is growing into a gorgeous boy
  21. I would NOT remove him. Your other pairing will have to wait. Besides, many feeding fathers are infertile during that time.
  22. After the age of two week the Dads are usually the primary feeders of the babies in nests. At fledging ( 4-5 weeks ) the dads are the ones that feed them out of the nestbox and show them how to eat. Removing the dad at the wrong time will possibly jeopardise the chicks transition to successful weaning.
  23. Omelette ( grand mother ) is opaline and it seems the dad of these chicks is also split opaline. ***************** Omelette has now laid three eggs in the box amongst her chicks. She can lay them as long as it takes for her to be removed and the Dad to take over, but she wont be raising any. Here are her chicks today This one is real cute
  24. agree with the others and Candy is a DF spangle cock
