  2. It seems to be greywing on first look BUT a greywing has a grey tail quill and yours hasnt.
  3. Most people use the whole egg not just the yolk
  4. Well done Nadene !!!!!
  5. I hope you have a foster parent
  6. Show me their housing..................often it isnt about the food but the exercise they get. M<any a cage is so jam packed with perches and swings and toys that all a budgie gets to do is hop from one to another. Before I go talking diet or food quantities I would assess their exercise abilities. and I would NEVER ever deal out two teaspoons of seed per budgie ever. At all times their needs vary...........sometimes they eat more. Sometimes they need more. Some budgies eat more than others. Bored budgie eat too. So........... more info required please...........and photos
  7. I agree with it being a MALE too.
  8. I would help it....its taking far too long and the chick may well die in the attempt to free itself.

  10. 2 is NOT double factor.................as evident by body colouration and wing markings YELLOWFACE Skyblue Dominant Pied Greywing
  11. Checking nestboxes morning and night is normal and good practice..............and if it was me and I had that going on....I, too, would be checking middle of the day too. I dont consider you are overchecking the nestbox under the circumstances.
  12. How old are each of your breeding budgies ?

I am a member of both Metropolitan Budgerigar Club and Southwest Budgerigar Club and I am the ring registrar for mbc. you need to join a budgie club to order rings. Let me know if I can help further
  14. Laila please post clear photos of your budgies and the cage set up you have for them to breed in so we can help you better
  15. I think they are both males...............the male with the paler blue cere just isnt in condition. His cere would look different if a female despite females who arent in breeding condition having a white/blue cere I feel this isnt the case here. This is the white blue of a hen not in breeding condition however some clarification can be made here if you take new photos not with a flash
  16. Try again with your photo links...something didnt work out....read how to post pictures in my signature below and try again
  17. Well your pied is a dominant pied so you can pair him to a normal hen.
  18. **KAZ** replied to Dibba's topic in New to BBC
    You are correct.......both BOYS
  19. I am sorry Jen.........the pied is not recessive but dominant pied. Pretty obvious considering it has iris rings as well as telling by body and head markings Both boys too and your crested are very nice Dibba
  20. Basically I am saying you seem to need more knowledge than you have so far before you begin breeding..... and NO dont breed brothers and sisters please.
  21. You can breed your crested budgies with any kind. Try not to mix your pieds though.....recessive to recessive not to dominant pieds if you can help it
  22. Based on your past topics http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=31493&st=0&p=372911entry372911 and the questions you are still asking despite your previous claims to have read the FAQ section I really dont think you should be trying to breed your budgies just yet. You are very young and you dont seem to have grasped most of the basics you should know before putting a nestbox on the cage. Anyone who thinks this is harsh read the previous topics and posts.
  23. Read the notice above ..................and you will need to seek out a cockatiel forum for advice and support for your tiel.......sorry.
  24. Funkypanda is right...he needs wings clipped for safer handling and training. also what do you mean by this a fully fledged baby budgie has its feet and claws fully developed, so what is wrong with your budgie to make you think they arent ?
