We might go to England to show our baby Benny to hubby's family, but we still have to work out what to do with our two doggies, I guess someone would have to come here to feed them anyway, so they could also feed the birds

Sounds more like an Aussie Budgie!!! A pie eating Budgie... I love it! I meant peas of course But maybe I should try if they'd eat my apple pie that I make I think I've been spelling peas "pies" all the time (so next time you see a pie in my post it's probably pea )

And do you think outside birds would also be okay alone for a couple of days if they have enough water and food?

I also feed frozen corn and pies. I normally leave it on the table till it defrosts. And they love it

I've tasted the water with the acid staff I give them and it tastes okay, I find the garlic in the water more yucky (it's from the same company), that one I've only smelled, there is no way I'd taste that one :hap:

Thanks , when I was like 13 years old I went to a riding school and we were using it there sometimes, I hope we were using it the right way , they didn't really explained it to us :hap:

It's so cool I wanted to ask you something - did they explained you how does the twitch work? I was told that it hurts the horse, that's why he stays calm . Is it true? I know they have something under the top lip "to smell staff" (I love when they roll the top lip, it's just too funny :glare: ), is that why you do it on the top lip?

Hi and welcome My husband made the aviary. It's made from a greenhouse frame. The birds do love it . Here it was cheaper and easier for us to buy a greenhouse and turn it into aviary then to buy a new aviary, and you don't really get a second hand aviaries here, as people make them most of the time. We don't have any inside part yet, but we will have to do it before winter as it gets very cold here. But we've covered two sides of the aviary to protect them from wind. I think it's also good to cover the top and make a safety door and the floor is better to make from concrete or something similar, so the mice cannot get in. Also have a look in the aviary section, there are many pictures of nice aviaries :glare:

I use a liquid called Acidomid, it has organic acids, etc. - also vinegar. So I gues it's okay for them . I put 10 ml into 1 l of drinking water.

That's just horrible . I hope they will start caring . I would also put those baby gates everywhere and lock them somehow. Or maybe you could put a small chain with a lock on those sliding doors - if they don't keep your rules, I know it sounds like an extreme, but I would do it :hap: But on the other side I understand the little girl - kids love animals, she just wants to play. But doesn't know she can hurt them . They will be sorry one day when she grows up and leaves them, or something
