We Are Building New Aviaries
My husband doesn't like birds at all, but he knows I would try to build it myself and probably hurt myself, so he is rather doing it for me . He is VERY NICE to me, I think no one else would have so much patience with me and my hobbies I just found out his brother cannot come this weekend, so it's just me and hubby - building

We Are Building New Aviaries
We didn't do anything on the aviaries yesterday as we came late from work . So the birdies have to wait for bit longer. But not too long - this weekend my husband's brother from England is coming to visit, so they will be two for the work :(Laughing out loud):

We Are Building New Aviaries
As some of you know, I'm planing to have huge aviaries outside (indoor+outdoor). But as we are expecting a baby this spring, we probably won't be able to do it now . So we are building indoor aviaries in one of our rooms. We started yesterday - the wood construction is done, so it shouldn't take long :rip: . I don't know the measurements, but I will measure it and take a picture when it's done. They won't be too big, but as they are not permanent, they should be big enough. I'm so happy - I love arranging it - branches, toys, etc.

Two New Baby Budgies
I planned to get one more budgie from the breeder - I got a female budgie from him not long time ago. So she is not alone in her quarantine cage. I wanted a YF blue spangle and some of his babies looked like it. I couldn't decide, so I got two. One looks like a YF skyblue spangle pied and the other one looks like YF skyblue opaline - I think. I will try to get pictures soon. I'm not sure if they are males or females. The pied is very cute and lets me to hold him/her - is not scared at all When I was moving them to a bigger quarantine cage - I could just pick him/her up from a perch, we call him Dozy. I was worried they might be too young - but they look like they eat - I could see them eating millet and apple. If I didn't buy them the breeder would take them to a bird market the next day, so didn't have a choice :rip: Photos coming soon - hopefully

What Mutation Is Rainbow?
She is alone in her cage now (quarantine), so she is quiet and probably lonely. But she doesn't look sick to me, her droppings are okay, she was eating, she's not fluffed up, she was singing with the other birds (she can hear them a bit). She is probably not very good flier - the guy had some quails on the aviary floor and he said that this budgie spends lots of time on the floor with them. But I've seen her flying. I'm putting special acid liquid into her water - it's like a desinfection. But I'm careful, I feed the other birds first, then this one and wash hands, etc. - after seeing the guys aviaries, I don't want my birds to get any illness His birds had no toys, no shelter to hide, only breeding boxes and some shelter on the floor for the quails, so maybe she just needs to get used to all the new things - she is still young. She was checking out the mirror and she has eaten whole millet spray , I'm hoping she will be fine. Maybe it helps if I get one more bird from him (as I said before), to join her in quarantine. Then they will have each other and won't feel as lonely anymore. As I think her (or their) quarantine is going to be longer then a month (I'll see how they look later)

Anthrazit Budgies
I can't wait to see the baby fully feathered too . I had to search google for Anthrazite budgies, I didn't know them (Broken Dreamz - I think Anthracite's body color is very dark grey shade, almost black. But it's not actually from a grey gene, but Anthracite gene. If I understood it right )
