Strange Infatuation
Yes, I agree with Liv enjoy his antics and around the 3-4 month mark is when they start their first molt, get a bit hormonal and such but by decreasing his daylight hours by even just 1 hour a day really works, I keep Merlin in check this way

Should Have Done This Sooner
Welcome to the forum and I look forward to pictures of your "feathered" flock . When you bring home your new budgie do make sure you follow strict 30 day quarantine which means that the new bird is in a separate cage and room for at least 1 full month (30 days), this ensures that he is well and not going to get your existing flock ill.

Whats The Best Way For Me To Go About Taming My Chirp?
Welcome, read through the taming article it gives a lot of tips and advice plus there was excellent posts on here one done by birdluv on how she tamed her 2 older birds and it was a success. The biggest thing you have to remember is don't push them it will frighten your bird and patience is the KEY.

Welcome to the forum. First I see you did not quarantine your new bird from Charlie to ensure their health. Birds must go through a 30 day quarantine before they are introduced even if you know where you go them from and the person. Quarantine means keeping the new bird separate from the existing flock in another cage and another room for a full 30 days (1 month). Second, if you are planning to breed please to your research it is not as simple as throwing in a nesting box and hoping for the best. Plus there are so many homeless pets including birds out there you have to think about what will you do with the babies. A good budgie breeder isn't out there for the profit but for the health of the birds and breeding strong healthier birds. Most budgies will have between 2-5 chicks where will they go? Charlie, his cere per the pics which are not very clear looks very pink and an a recessive pied (his mutation male), his cere will remain pink and not change into blue because of his mutation, his age maybe right around 1 year too. It is hard to tell their age after they have molted out a couple of times so I think the pet shop was probably on target for their age.- Sky's Vent
you need a postage scale that works well and weight in 1 gram increments.- My Budgies Are Grandparents...
I meant to leave it with the parents until the parents are done feeding it and make sure it is eating on it's own, so wait th extrat 2-3 weeks needed to make sure it is on it's own that is what I meant not keep them with the parents forever- Sky's Vent
maybe the antibiotics are causing irritation too? they can cause the poo's to be even more watery? Make sure you weigh her daily for weight loss.- My Budgies Are Grandparents...
I would let the parents finish with it because taking it too early could stress it out and if it dies you will have that what if I kept it with the parents that is my opinion.- Single Black Feathers On Belly/chest?
MB being here for almost 3 years now I have never seen it or no one has ever brought it up, it is probably a rare occurance, when the bird molts does it keep that black feather, could you see if they skin is darker there or pink?- My Budgies Are Grandparents...
it is hard to work with people like that I know, I have those type in my family too, at this point I am at a loss for you Michelle because you can't force her to do something, and creating conflict probably would not go well. - My Aviary....start To Finish
