  1. Saffy ended up having two clutches with a total of 19 eggs. I refused to let her lay a second clutch, due to her age and the fact she had just had two!! She continued to lay a few eggs after I had taken the nest box away. She laid three on the floor of the cage and then stopped. How many has Jewel laid since you took the nest box away? Because it takes a little while for their system to get out of breeding mode.
  2. I think they can also have plum eyes seeing as the recessive pied gene goes into making them. Recessive pieds have plum eyes and I am sure I have read it before too. Plum eyes don't always appear plum. My two cinnamons seem like they have black eyes even though cinnamons have purple eyes when they are babies.
  3. Awwwe, Elly you got to it before me. I was going to suggest that. (Laughing out loud)
  4. Wow you sound like such a good budgie mum. Congratulations, you have done good work with him. :ausb:
  5. Wow what a Casanova! You might be using him more often. He was probably like "Yes! Finally!"
  6. That's like me, I love collecting cages and I refuse to sell them or give them away. Each cage can be used for something I reckon. It is always good to have a spare cage on hand too.
  7. In the picture I can see clearly defined iris rings. She is a double factor spangle. Plum eyes do not mean lutino, they mean DEC
  8. The little baby looks so cute in the 2nd to last picture with it's spikey do.
  9. Yes Bell bird was correct
  10. yes that's right
  11. That's good news. :glare:

  14. Nope not a lark. Cute little owls. Are they burrowing owls?
  15. I noticed in the last two photos the baby has blue feathers around its legs
  16. That is a gorgeous poem Bea. I hope you get tops marks for that. It is quite meaningful.
  17. Oompa loompa looks like she is actually a yellowface type 2 opaline, because of her seagreen colour.
  18. Perhaps you could splint it , while you wait for the vet appointment, to prevent him from further damaging it. But he may squeal allot. Seeing as you are going to the vet this afternoon you probably won't need to splint it, just take out all his high perches and only have ones near the bottom of the cage, so that if he falls, he won't fall far. His "elbow" joint is called his ankle and is also known as his hock.
  19. okay guess this bird :glare:
  20. Spotted catbird
  21. wow, you have so many cages
  22. Pet name, like "bobbie" for example
  23. The rules follow as Nerwen's game but you have to guess this budgie's given name. You can post your own budgie or other member's budgies. Person who guesses first gets to post the next picture. Here we go:
  24. Oo, wow, that is a hard one Where is it from?
  25. I let my budgie raise their own babies, but I handled them regularly. They have turned out really tame now. Infact they prefer to play on me than eat millet sometimes. Sometimes I can't even stop little Bacardi encopuraging the others from jumping on my head, (Laughing out loud)
